VIDEO OVERLAY SYNCHRONIZATION FOR A DIGITAL SURGICAL STEREOSCOPE
20230117586 · 2023-04-20 ·

Video overlay synchronization for a digital surgical stereoscope is disclosed herein. In an example, a system provides synchronization by detecting how an image changes between frames. The image change corresponds to detecting the regular and predictable movement of human tissue, such as pulsing of a blood vessel. Peaks or maximum extents of tissue movement is tracked overtime to determine an estimation of the regular periodic movement. This periodic movement is used to align a short recording of images corresponding to a fluorescence imaging mode with a live or near-live recording of images in a visible light mode. The frame rate of fluorescence image data is adjusted to ensure close or almost exact alignment of tissue position shown in both the fluorescence image data and visible light image data. The system accordingly provides a fluorescence image overlay on visible light images for tissue that has regular movement patterns.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR LOCATING USER INTERFACE LEAK

Detection of unintentional air leaks in a user interface (e.g., mask) of a respiratory therapy system (e.g., a positive air pressure device) is disclosed. One or more sensors (e.g., within a computing device, such as a smartphone) can be moved around relative to the user interface to determine a location and/or intensity of an air leak. The computing device can provide feedback regarding the location and/or intensity of the air leak to facilitate the user locating the air leak, and thus correcting the air leak. In some cases, augmented reality annotations can be overlaid on an image (e.g., live image) of the user wearing the user interface to identify the location of the air leak. The system can automatically detect the type of user interface being used and can provide tailored guidance for reducing the air leaks.

DISTORTION CORRECTING SENSORS FOR DIAGONAL COLLECTION OF OBLIQUE IMAGERY

A vehicle collects oblique imagery along a nominal heading using rotated camera-groups with optional distortion correcting electronic image sensors that align projected pixel columns or rows with a pre-determined direction on the ground, thereby improving collection quality, efficiency, and/or cost. In a first aspect, the camera-groups are rotated diagonal to the nominal heading. In a second aspect, the distortion correcting electronic image sensors align projected pixel columns or rows with a pre-determined direction on the ground. In a third aspect, the distortion correcting electronic image sensors are rotated around the optical axis of the camera. In a fourth aspect, cameras collect images in strips and the strips from different cameras overlap, providing large-baseline, small-time difference stereopsis.
