Dopaminergic Imaging to Predict Treatment Response in Mental Illness
20230024712 · 2023-01-26 ·

A neuroimaging-based approach to predict treatment response in mental disorders by acquiring and analysing brain PET dopamine measures from patients. The method uses a short, simplified protocol for [18F]FDOPA brain PET imaging adapted for clinical practice. Individual [18F]FDOPA brain PET data are then quantified with a fully-automated analysis pipeline to extract information on the dopamine function of the subject. This information coupled with clinical information is run through a prediction algorithm to identify those patients whose illness will not respond to conventional antipsychotics.

Systems and Methods for Annotating X-Rays

A system for tracking an instrument during a procedure on a patient is provided. The system includes a rotatable gantry, an x-ray imaging device, a processor, and a memory coupled to the processor. The processor is configured to: generate a three dimensional (3D) image based on a plurality of initial x-ray projections taken at a plurality of projection angles; generate an annotated 3D image of the 3D image including annotations of the target location and at least one planned instrument path on the 3D image; generate a plurality of two dimensional (2D) annotations based on the annotated 3D image at each projection angle; superimpose each 2D annotation onto the initial x-ray projection of the corresponding projection angle; obtain a plurality of subsequent x-ray projections of the patient at the plurality of projection angles; and co-register each subsequent x-ray projection with a corresponding annotated initial x-ray projection for each projection angle.

Interaction Method for Electronic Device for Skin Detection, and Electronic Device

An interaction method for an electronic device for skin detection includes recognizing a hand action and a face of a user to determine a target hand action; determining a detection target corresponding to the hand action based on the target hand action; determining from an extended content library based on the detection target and a shape of the detection target, extended content associated with the detection target and the shape of the detection target, and outputting the extended content.

Systems And Methods For Changing The Direction Of View During Video Guided Clinical Procedures Using Real-Time Image Processing

Arthroscopes and laparoscopes are available in several lens cuts to cover different clinical situations of interest, with the surgeon having to exchange the optics in order to change the direction of view of the camera. The presently disclosed embodiments disclose real-time image processing systems and methods that enable the user to arbitrarily change the direction of view of a surgical camera with the advantage of avoiding the disruption in workflow caused by the physical exchange of the optics. In addition, the presently disclosed embodiments disclose performing zoom along an arbitrary viewing direction (directional zoom) that enables to increase the scale of a region of interest without decreasing the overall field-of-view or losing image contents.

Reduction of Glare in Endoscopic Images
20220375049 · 2022-11-24 · ·

The present invention provides a method, system and device for reflectional glare reduction in endoscope images. The reflective glare refers to clusters of congruent bright and often saturated image pixels caused by heterogenous surfaces of a tissue anatomy reflecting the illumination from a light source, which could be as annoying as distractive. Under automatic exposure control, in a scene of overexposure due to a reflection glare, the brightness of the glare is significantly higher than that of background image of tissue anatomy, and there is usually a gap between the two. Through mapping the pixel depth of the glare into the gap, the contrast between the glare and the background image is reduced, which improves the user experience of the endoscopy.

METHOD FOR DETERMINING A REGISTRATION ERROR
20220365449 · 2022-11-17 ·

The invention relates to a method for determining a registration error of a structure on a mask for semiconductor lithography, comprising the following method steps: generating an image of at least one region of the mask, determining at least one measuring contour in the image, and matching the forms of a design contour and a measuring contour to one another while at the same time matching the registration of the two contours.

System and Method for Monitoring Multiple Lesions

A method and apparatus for tracking disease progression as revealed by multiple lesions perform a global optimization to identify corresponding lesions by overlap, for example, after outlines of the lesions have been morphologically dilated. A clustering algorithm addresses the problem of lesions separating into parts or joining together to provide a clear picture of disease progression.
