One or more example embodiments of the present invention relates to a computer-implemented method for providing an outline of a lesion in digital breast tomosynthesis includes receiving input data, wherein the input data comprises a reconstructed tomosynthesis volume dataset based on projection recordings, a virtual target marker within a lesion being in the tomosynthesis volume dataset; applying a trained function to at least a part of the tomosynthesis volume dataset to establish an outline enclosing the lesion, the part of the tomosynthesis volume dataset corresponding to a region surrounding the virtual target marker in the tomosynthesis volume dataset; and providing output data, wherein the output data is an outline of a two-dimensional area or a three-dimensional volume surrounding the target marker.
MEDICAL IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS, DEVICE, STORAGE MEDIUM, AND PRODUCT
A computer device obtains a medical image set. The device identifies a difference between the reference medical image and the target medical image to obtain a candidate non-lesion region in the target medical image. The device determines area size information of the candidate non-lesion region as candidate area size information. The device adjusts the candidate non-lesion region according to the annotated area size information when the candidate area size information does not match the annotated area size information, so as to obtain a target non-lesion region in the target medical image.
Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for detecting image degradation during surgical procedures
Methods, systems, and computer-readable media for detecting image degradation during a surgical procedure are provided. A method includes receiving images of a surgical instrument; obtaining baseline images of an edge of the surgical instrument; comparing a characteristic of the images of the surgical instrument to a characteristic of the baseline images of the edge of the surgical instrument, the images of the surgical instrument being received subsequent to obtaining the baseline images of the edge of the surgical instrument and being received while the surgical instrument is disposed at a surgical site in a patient; determining whether the images of the surgical instrument are degraded, based on the comparing of the characteristic of the images of the surgical instrument and the characteristic of the baseline images of the surgical instrument; and generating an image degradation notification, in response to a determination that the images of the surgical instrument are degraded.
Predictive use of quantitative imaging
The present disclosure provides systems and methods for predicting a disease state of a subject using ultrasound imaging and ancillary information to the ultrasound imaging. At least two quantitative measurements of a subject, including at least one measurement taken using ultrasound imaging, as part of quantified information can be identified. One of the quantitative measurements can be compared to a first predetermined standard, included as part of ancillary information to the quantified information, in order to identify a first initial value. Further, another of the quantitative measurements can be compared to a second predetermined standard, included as part of the ancillary information, in order to identify a second initial value. Subsequently, the quantitative information can be correlated with the ancillary information using the first initial value and the second initial value to determine a final value that is predictive of a disease state of the subject.
Method and apparatus for mammographic multi-view mass identification
A method, applied to an apparatus for mammographic multi-view mass identification, includes receiving a main image, a first auxiliary image, and a second auxiliary image. The main image and the first auxiliary image are images of a breast of a person, and the second auxiliary image is an image of another breast of the person. The method further includes detecting the nipple location based on the main image and the first auxiliary image; generating a first probability map of the main image based on the main image, the first auxiliary image, and the nipple location; generating a second probability map of the main image based on the main image, the second auxiliary image, and the nipple location; and generating and outputting a fused probability map based on the first probability map and the second probability map.
WIRELESSLY PROGRAMMABLE TRANSDUCER-BASED REMOTE CONTROL WITH INERTIAL SENSOR
Systems and methods are disclosed for remotely controlling a main processing console of an ultrasound system. In various embodiments, an ultrasound remote controller can be used to remotely control a main processing console of an ultrasound system. The ultrasound remote controller can include a user interface controller configured to provide one or more ultrasound control functions to a user remote from the main processing console. The control functions can be used to remotely control operation of the main console. Further, the user interface controller can be configured to receive input for the one or more ultrasound control functions from the user. The ultrasound remote controller can include a communication interface configured to transmit operational instructions to the main processing console for remotely controlling the operation of the main processing console through the ultrasound remote controller based on the user input for the one or more ultrasound control functions.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PERFORMING REAL-TIME RADIOLOGY
The present disclosure provides methods and systems directed to performing real-time and/or AI-assisted radiology. A method for processing an image of a location of a body of a subject may comprise (a) obtaining the image of the location of a body of the subject; (b) using a trained algorithm to classify the image or a derivative thereof to a category among a plurality of categories, wherein the classifying comprises applying an image processing algorithm; (c) directing the image to a first radiologist for radiological assessment if the image is classified to a first category among the plurality of categories, or (ii) directing the image to a second radiologist for radiological assessment, if the image is classified to a second category among the plurality of categories; and (d) receiving a recommendation from the first or second radiologist to examine the subject based at least in part on the radiological assessment.
