Embodiments of work stations for use in a medical dose preparation management system are disclosed. A work station may include a camera stand. The camera stand may include a housing enclosing a camera and one or more light sources therein. As such, the camera and light sources may be directed at a medical dose preparation staging region to capture medical dose preparation images of the medical dose preparation staging region. The camera stand may include an adjustable support positionable in a plurality of positions to dispose the camera and light source relative to the medical dose preparation staging region. The work stations may facilitate improved image quality and record work flows carried out at the work station for preparation verification.

A method and system is provided for determining the denomination and related data for a currency item using a personal computing device, such as a mobile phone. The device includes or is connected to an image capture device that is preferably a digital video camera. At least one image of a target currency item is captured then processed for image quality. A further processing of the image includes a coordinate mapping. A comparison is made between individual pixels of the processed image based on the assigned coordinate mapping with a database of reference currency images to determine the currency denomination. Additional processing of the currency image provides the date and other data regarding the target currency item. A market value for the target currency item is identified by reference to a valuation database using the data determined for the currency item.

An intelligent Forcipomyia taiwana monitoring and management system comprises: a catching mechanism grabbing a to-be-identified target; a database storing a datum comprising pictures of a flying insect category; a model training module using the pictures to establish a training model; an image capture module shooting an image including the target; an identifying module selecting a first segmented region including the target by using YOLO detection framework technology, extracting a first identification feature from the target, and inputting the feature into the training model for deep learning to identify a flying insect category to which the target belongs and produce an identification result; a counting module recording a number of the target into the database; and a predictive tracking module obtaining a marked object based on the result marked with the target identified in the image, and using a Monte-Carlo category algorithm to track and predict the object.

A method for assigning a symbol to an object in an image includes receiving the image captured by an imaging device where the symbol may be located within the image. The method further includes receiving, in a first coordinate system, a three-dimensional (3D) location of one or more points that corresponds to pose information indicative of a 3D pose of the object in the image, mapping the 3D location of the one or more points of the object to a 2D location within the image, and assigning the symbol to the object based on a relationship between a 2D location of the symbol in the image and the 2D location of the one or more points of the object in the image.
