DYNAMIC RADIOMETRIC THERMAL IMAGING COMPENSATION
20230121253 · 2023-04-20 ·

Systems and methods for dynamic radiometric thermal imaging compensation. The method includes analyzing a visible light image to determine an emissivity value for each of a plurality of visible light pixels making up the visible light image. The method includes associating each of the plurality of thermal pixels making up a thermal image corresponding to the visible light image with at least one of the plurality of visible light pixels making up the visible light image. The method includes generating a second thermal image by, for each of the plurality of thermal pixels making up the thermal image, determining a temperature value based on the thermal pixel value of the thermal pixel and the emissivity value of the at least one of the plurality of visible light pixels associated with the thermal pixel.

Camera parameter setting system and camera parameter setting method

In installation work, a camera captures a vehicle including an occupant and a license plate of the vehicle in a view angle from an installation position of the camera and transmits, to the terminal, a captured image of the occupant and a captured image of the license plate in response to a setting request from a terminal. The terminal displays a setting screen including the captured image of the occupant and the captured image of the license plate, receives input of parameters including an operation mode of the camera and positional relationship information indicating a positional relationship between the camera and the vehicle according to manipulations of an operator, and transmits the input parameters to the camera. The camera derives and sets camera parameters corresponding to the operation mode based on the input parameters transmitted from the terminal.

USE OF STEGANOGRAPHY TO AUTHENTICATE PROVIDER OF PACKAGE, DEVICE, OR DEVICE COMPONENT

In one aspect, the present application relates to a package or computer-related component that may indicate steganographic data that indicates a provider of the device. The present application also relates to using other electronic devices to identify and authenticate that the package or computer-related component is from the provider.

ASSET IDENTIFICATION AND TRACKING SYSTEM

An asset identification and tracking system includes one or more monitoring units configured to monitor at least one designated area. Each of the monitoring units includes an imaging device and one or more processors. The imaging device is configured to generate image data depicting one or more mobile assets that move through the at least one designated area. The one or more processors are operably coupled to the imaging device and configured to analyze the image data to detect and decipher one or more identifiers that are displayed on a particular mobile asset of the one or more mobile assets that move through the at least one designated area. The one or more processors are further configured to generate a detection message that includes the one or more identifiers for communication to an asset control system.

Color electronic rolling shutter image sensor for idenitfying items on fast moving conveyor belt
10992888 · 2021-04-27 · ·

An image capture system has an electronic rolling shutter (ERS) imager in area mode with high illumination to perform image acquisition (i.e. barcode reading) for fast moving items. Shearing distortion may occur but image blur is reduced and the image can be decoded. The ERS imager replaces global shutter imagers at a much lower cost and wider availability. The image capture system separates illumination into multiple bands in space and then synchronize the illumination bands with the exposure of the ERS imager in time. Much less illumination is required for the same image quality.

A book electronization apparatus includes: a table capable of storing a type of ink and an absorption wavelength of an energy ray (X-ray) of the ink in association with each other; an acquisition unit that acquires, from the table, an absorption wavelength of an X-ray, which corresponds to an ink type that is input; and an image capturing unit that acquires three-dimensional data of a book by capturing an image of the book with the X-ray having the acquired absorption wavelength.

Methods and apparatus for imaging of layers

A sensor may measure light reflecting from a multi-layered object at different times. A digital time-domain signal may encode the measurements. Peaks in the signal may be identified. Each identified peak may correspond to a layer in the object. For each identified peak, a short time window may be selected, such that the time window includes a time at which the identified peak occurs. A discrete Fourier transform of that window of the signal may be computed. A frequency frame may be computed for each frequency in a set of frequencies in the transform. Kurtosis for each frequency frame may be computed. A set of high kurtosis frequency frames may be averaged, on a pixel-by-pixel basis, to produce a frequency image. Text characters that are printed on a layer of the object may be recognized in the frequency image, even though the layer is occluded.
