METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IDENTIFYING PARTITIONS ASSOCIATED WITH ERRATIC PEDESTRIAN BEHAVIORS AND THEIR CORRELATIONS TO POINTS OF INTEREST
An approach is provided for identifying partitions associated with erratic pedestrian behaviors and their correlations to points of interest. For example, the approach involves receiving sensor data associated with a geographic area. The approach also involves based on the sensor data, determining pedestrian-behavior parameter(s) respectively for partition(s). Each respective partition of the partition(s) represents a respective subarea of the geographic area, a respective time period, or a combination thereof. The approach further involves identifying at least one erratic partition from the partition(s) based on determining that a respective pedestrian-behavior parameter associated with the at least one erratic partition deviates from a baseline pedestrian-behavior parameter by at least a threshold extent. The approach further involves determining a correlation of the at least one erratic partition to at least one map feature of a geographic database. The approach further involves providing the correlation as an output.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR OBTAINING A SCALE REFERENCE AND MEASUREMENTS OF 3D OBJECTS FROM 2D PHOTOS
Disclosed are systems and methods for obtaining a scale factor and 3D measurements of objects from a series of 2D images. An object to be measured is selected from a menu of an Augmented Reality (AR) based measurement application being executed by a mobile computing device. Measurement instructions corresponding to the selected object are retrieved and used to generate a series of image capture screens. A series of image capture screens assist the user in positioning the device relative to the object in a plurality of imaging positions to capture the series of 2D images. The images are used to determine one or more scale factors and to build a complete scaled 3D model of the object in virtual 3D space. The 3D model is used to generate one or more measurements of the object.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR IDENTIFYING CONDITION OF ANIMAL OBJECT BASED ON IMAGE
An image-based animal object condition identification apparatus includes: a communication module that receives an image of an object; a memory that stores therein a program configured to extract animal condition information from the received image; and a processor that executes the program. The program extracts continuous animal detection information of each object by inputting the received image into an animal detection model that is trained based on learning data composed of animal images and determines predetermined animal condition information for each class of each animal object by inputting the continuous animal detection information of each object into an animal condition identification model.
Determining Features based on Gestures and Scale
A system, method, and computer-readable medium for associating a person’s gestures with specific features of objects is disclosed. Using one or more image capture devices, a person’s gestures and the location of that person in an environment is determined. Using determined distances between the person and objects in the environment and scales associated with features of those objects, the list of specific features in the person’s field-of-view may be determined. Further, a facial expression of the person may be scored and that score associated with one or more specific features.
SIMULATION OF LIKENESSES AND MANNERISMS IN EXTENDED REALITY ENVIRONMENTS
In one example, a method performed by a processing system including at least one processor includes obtaining video footage of a first subject, creating a profile for the first subject, based on features extracted from the video footage, obtaining video footage of a second subject different from the first subject, adjusting movements of the second subject in the video footage of the second subject to mimic movements of the first subject as embodied in the profile for the first subject, to create video footage of a modified second subject, verifying that the video footage of the modified second subject is consistent with a policy specified in the profile for the first subject, and rendering a media including the video footage of the modified second subject when the video footage of the modified second subject is consistent with the policy specified in the profile for the first subject.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR IDENTIFYING INCLINED REGIONS
Systems and methods for identifying inclined regions are provided. In one aspect, a method is provided that includes receiving shadow data for at least one first ground object in a first region, wherein each first ground object is depicted in one overhead image of the first region, wherein the shadow data comprises a length of the respective first ground object as identified from the respective overhead image; receiving shadow data for at least one second comparable ground object in a second region, wherein each second ground object is depicted in one overhead image of the second region, wherein the shadow data comprises a length of the respective second ground object as identified from the respective overhead image; calculating a statistical measure describing the variability of the shadow lengths between objects in the first region and the second region; comparing the statistical measure to a predetermined threshold; and based on the comparison, identifying that the first region is inclined relative to the second region.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR GENERATING 3D OBJECTS FROM 2D IMAGES OF GARMENTS
A system for generating three-dimensional (3D) objects from two-dimensional (2D) images of garments is presented. The system includes a data module configured to receive a 2D image of a selected garment and a target 3D model. The system further includes a computer vision model configured to generate a UV map of the 2D image of the selected garment. The system moreover includes a training module configured to train the computer vision model based on a plurality of 2D training images and a plurality of ground truth (GT) panels for a plurality of 3D training models. Detecting interactions with non-discretized items and associating interactions with actors using digital images
Commercial interactions with non-discretized items such as liquids in carafes or other dispensers are detected and associated with actors using images captured by one or more digital cameras including the carafes or dispensers within their fields of view. The images are processed to detect body parts of actors and other aspects therein, and to not only determine that a commercial interaction has occurred but also identify an actor that performed the commercial interaction. Based on information or data determined from such images, movements of body parts associated with raising, lowering or rotating one or more carafes or other dispensers may be detected, and a commercial interaction involving such carafes or dispensers may be detected and associated with a specific actor accordingly.
