EXTRACTING INFORMATION ABOUT PEOPLE FROM SENSOR SIGNALS
There is provided a computer implemented method of extracting information about a person. Incoming sensor signals for monitoring people within a field of view of a sensor system are received and processed. In response to detecting a person located within a notification region, an output device outputs a notification to the detected person. Processing of the incoming sensor signals continues in order to monitor behaviour patterns of the person and determine from his behaviour patterns whether he is currently in a consenting or non-consenting state. An extraction function attempts to extract information about the person irrespective of his determined state. A sharing function determines whether or not to share an extracted piece of information about the person with a receiving entity in accordance with his determined state, the information not being shared unless and until it is subsequently determined that the person is in the consenting state.
System and method for visually tracking persons and imputing demographic and sentiment data
A visual tracking system for tracking and identifying persons within a monitored location, comprising a plurality of cameras and a visual processing unit, each camera produces a sequence of video frames depicting one or more of the persons, the visual processing unit is adapted to maintain a coherent track identity for each person across the plurality of cameras using a combination of motion data and visual featurization data, and further determine demographic data and sentiment data using the visual featurization data, the visual tracking system further having a recommendation module adapted to identify a customer need for each person using the sentiment data of the person in addition to context data, and generate an action recommendation for addressing the customer need, the visual tracking system is operably connected to a customer-oriented device configured to perform a customer-oriented action in accordance with the action recommendation.
METHOD, APPARATUS AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
Present disclosure provides a method for determining if an event relates to an unauthorized subject, the method comprising: determining a likelihood of how the event is similar to at least one of: (i) at least one event of a list of events relating to the unauthorized subject and (ii) at least one of a list of events relating to an authorized subject, each event of the list of events comprising data identifying the unauthorized subject, the determination of likelihood being based on the data identifying the unauthorized subject; and determining the event to relate to the unauthorized subject in response to the determination of the likelihood.
Image processing apparatus, image processing method, image processing program, and recording medium storing program
An image processing apparatus, an image processing method, a program, and a recording medium storing the program capable of extracting, from an input first image group, an image similar to an image extracted from a reference image group are provided. A first image group including a plurality of images of a user is transmitted to an order reception server. A second image group similar to the first image group is searched from a plurality of reference image groups stored in the order reception server. An image similar to an image previously extracted from the second image group is extracted from the first image group. An album is generated by arranging the image extracted from the first image group in a layout similar to a layout of an album generated from the second image group.
Systems and methods for selecting a best facial image of a target human face
The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for selecting a best facial image of a target human face. The methods may include determining whether a candidate facial image is obtained before a time point in a time period threshold, wherein the candidate facial image has a greatest quality score of the target human face among a plurality of facial images of the target human face; in response to a determination that the candidate facial image is obtained before the time point, determining the candidate facial image as the best facial image of the target human face; and storing the best facial image together with a face ID and the greatest quality score of the target human face in a face log.
Facial recognition technology for improving motor carrier regulatory compliance
Methods for improving compliance with regulations pertaining to vehicle driving records are disclosed. One or more digital images from a camera mounted in a vehicle are received. Based on a determination that the vehicle has hours of service that have not been assigned to a driver, a subset of the one or more digital images corresponding to the hours of service are identified based on the timestamps. The subset of the one or more digital images are processed to identify a correspondence between a face of a person included in the one or more digital images and a face of a known person. Based on the correspondence transgressing a threshold level of correspondence, a user interface is generated for presentation on a device. The user interface includes an interactive user interface element for accepting a recommendation to assign the known person as the driver for the unassigned hours of service.
Identifying objects within images from different sources
Techniques are disclosed for providing a notification that a person is at a particular location. For example, a resident device may receive from a user device an image that shows a face of a first person, the image being captured by a first camera of the user device. The resident device may also receive, from another device having a second camera, a second image showing a portion of a face of a second person, the second camera having a viewable area showing a particular location. The resident device may determine a score indicating a level of similarity between a first set of characteristics associated with the face of the first person and a second set of characteristics associated with the face of a second person. The resident device may then provide to the user device a notification based on determining the score.
SPOOFING ATTACK DETECTION DURING LIVE IMAGE CAPTURE
In general, one innovative aspect of the subject matter described in this specification can be embodied in a computer-implemented method. The method includes, detecting, by an imaging device, the presence of an object to be imaged. The method further includes, measuring, by the imaging device, a first characteristic of the object to be imaged, and measuring, by the imaging device, a second characteristic of the object to be imaged. The method further includes, determining, by a computing device, that at least one of the first characteristic of the object or the second characteristic of the object exceeds a threshold; and in response to determining, indicating, by the computing device, whether the object to be imaged is one of a spoofed object or an actual object.
Information processing apparatus capable of applying image processing based on evaluation results, image processing apparatus, and method of controlling the same
According to an aspect of the disclosure, an information processing apparatus comprising a communication circuit and a control circuit is provided. The control circuit transmits reduced image data of captured image data, to a first external apparatus through the communication circuit; receives, from the first external apparatus, a result of evaluation processing applied to the reduced image data; on the basis of the result of the evaluation processing, determines whether to apply image processing to the captured image data corresponding to the reduced image data, by a second external apparatus; transmits the captured image data that is determined to be applied the image processing, to the second external apparatus through the communication circuit; and receives, from the second external apparatus, a result of the image processing applied to the captured image data.
INTELLIGENT GALLERY MANAGEMENT FOR BIOMETRICS
A system provides intelligent gallery management for biometrics. A first gallery is obtained that includes biometric and/or other information on a population of people. An application is identified. A subset of the population of people is identified based on the application. A second gallery is derived from the first gallery by pulling the information for the subset of the population of people without pulling the information for the population of people not in the subset. Biometric identification (such as facial recognition) for the application may then be performed using the second gallery rather than the first gallery. In this way, the system is improved as less time is required for biometric identification, fewer device resources are used, and so on.
