The image processing apparatus may include a reception control unit for controlling reception of the image transmitted from the imaging device, a feature extracting unit for extracting a feature of the received image, a second recording unit for recording the feature, extracted from the image, the feature being associated with the image, and a second transmission control unit for controlling transmission of the feature to the imaging device.
Systems and Methods for Assessing Viewer Engagement
A system for quantifying viewer engagement with a video playing on a display includes at least one camera to acquire image data of a viewing area in front of the display. A microphone acquires audio data emitted by a speaker coupled to the display. The system also includes a memory to store processor-executable instructions and a processor. Upon execution of the processor-executable instructions, the processor receives the image data and the audio data and determines an identity of the video displayed on the display based on the audio data. The processor also estimates a first number of people present in the viewing area and a second number of people engaged with the video. The processor further quantifies the viewer engagement of the video based on the first number of people and the second number of people.
GENERATING IMAGE FEATURES BASED ON ROBUST FEATURE-LEARNING
Techniques for increasing robustness of a convolutional neural network based on training that uses multiple datasets and multiple tasks are described. For example, a computer system trains the convolutional neural network across multiple datasets and multiple tasks. The convolutional neural network is configured for learning features from images and accordingly generating feature vectors. By using multiple datasets and multiple tasks, the robustness of the convolutional neural network is increased. A feature vector of an image is used to apply an image-related operation to the image. For example, the image is classified, indexed, or objects in the image are tagged based on the feature vector. Because the robustness is increased, the accuracy of the generating feature vectors is also increased. Hence, the overall quality of an image service is enhanced, where the image service relies on the image-related operation.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR ITELLIGENTLY CONTROLLING CHILDREN'S USAGE OF SCREEN TERMINAL
A method and a system for intelligently controlling children's usage of a screen terminal are provided in this disclosure, which relate to the technical field of intelligent home terminals. When children use the screen terminal, children's age can be automatically and intelligently identified, real-time intelligent supervision on children's sitting posture, distance and other aspects can be conducted according to different children's ages, so as to intelligently control on and off duration of the screen terminal, so as to guide the children to use the screen terminal device healthily. Compared with prior art schemes, in the disclosure, management of the screen terminal device can be realized without manual operation, reducing trouble from manual equipment management, further realizing specific control of children's usage of the screen terminal by age, increasing intelligence degree, and with advantage of being used in multiple scenes.

Age verification
Image processing systems and methods are provided for authorizing the performance at a computer terminal of an age-restricted activity. An estimated human age is determined based on human characteristics of a structure detected in an image captured at the computer terminal. It is determined whether the structure exhibits at least one liveness characteristic indicating the human characteristics from which the estimated human age is determined have been captured directly from a living human at the computer terminal. A positive determination is made as to whether performance of the age-restricted activity is authorized if the estimated human age meets a predetermined age requirement and the structure is determined to exhibit at least one liveness characteristic, and a negative determination is made if: i) the estimated human age does not meet the predetermined age requirement; and/or ii) the structure is not determined to exhibit at least one liveness characteristic.
