Method and device for monitoring a mobile input device
A method for monitoring a mobile input device with a screen on which information can be displayed in a first pixel raster of image elements and which comprises a flat optical fingerprint reader and a second pixel raster of light-sensitive sensor elements. A fingerprint and fingerprint characteristics, comprising position of the finger on the screen are detected. The sensor elements detect the light intensity incident on them. The intensity levels are assembled into a static pattern of the fingerprint. The combination of the static pattern and the fingerprint characteristics are compared with a database. If the combination is in the database, a check is carried out whether an action is associated with this combination, which is then carried out, or whether no action is associated with this combination, whereupon a first standard action is carried out. If the combination is not stored, a second standard action is carried out.
Method and apparatus for authenticating a user of a computing device
A system for authenticating a user attempting to access a computing device or a software application executing thereon. A data storage device stores one or more digital images or frames of video of face(s) of authorized user(s) of the device. The system subsequently receives from a first video camera one or more digital images or frames of video of a face of the user attempting to access the device and compares the image of the face of the user attempting to access the device with the stored image of the face of the authorized user of the device. To ensure the received video of the face of the user attempting to access the device is a real-time video of that user, and not a forgery, the system further receives a first photoplethysmogram (PPG) obtained from a first body part (e.g., a face) of the user attempting to access the device, receives a second PPG obtained from a second body part (e.g., a fingertip) of the user attempting to access the device, and compares the first PPG with the second PPG. The system authenticates the user attempting to access the device based on a successful comparison of (e.g., correlation between, consistency of) the first PPG and the second PPG and based on a successful comparison of the image of the face of the user attempting to access the device with the stored image of the face of the authorized user of the device.

Comparison of biometric identifiers in memory
Systems, apparatuses, and methods related to comparison of biometric identifiers in memory are described. An example apparatus includes an array of memory cells, a plurality of logic blocks in complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) under the array, and a controller coupled to the array of memory cells. The controller is configured to control a first portion of the plurality of logic blocks to receive a first subset of a set of biometric identifiers from the array and to perform a first comparison operation thereon and control a second portion of the logic blocks to receive a second subset of the set of biometric identifiers from the array and to perform a second comparison operation thereon. The first and second subsets of the biometric identifiers are different biometric identifiers and the first and second comparison operations are performed to determine a match of the first and second subsets respectively to a stored template.

Triage engine for document authentication
Computer systems and methods are provided for receiving a first authentication request that includes an image of an identification document. A risk value is determined using one or more information factors that correspond to the authentication request. A validation user interface that includes the image of the identification document is displayed. A risk category that corresponds to the risk value is determined using at least a first risk threshold. In accordance with a determination that the risk value corresponds to a first risk category, a visual indication that corresponds to the first risk category is displayed. In accordance with a determination that the risk value corresponds to a second risk category, a visual indication that corresponds to the second risk category is displayed.

MULTIPLE PHYSIOLOGICAL SIGNALS SENSING CHIP AND THE MULTIPLE PHYSIOLOGICAL SIGNALS SENSING METHOD THEREOF
A multiple physiological signals sensing chip is provided. The multiple physiological signals sensing chip includes a substrate, a first light-emitting diode, a second light-emitting diode, a sensing array, and a processing unit. The substrate includes a contact surface touched by a finger. The first and second light-emitting diodes respectively emit red light and infrared light to the finger. The sensing array senses the red light or the infrared light reflected or refracted from the finger to obtain first physiological sensing signals according to a first sensing period or senses the red light and the infrared light reflected or refracted from the finger to obtain second physiological sensing signals according to a second sensing period. The first sensing period is shorter than the second sensing period. The processing unit respectively processes the first and second physiological sensing signals to obtain spatial information and energy information corresponding to the finger.
