ANTI-THEFT DEVICE
The invention relates to an anti-theft device comprising a housing, which is configured to be displaceably mounted to an anti-theft box, which anti-theft box is configured to receive merchandise to be protected, the housing being further configured to selectively take a releasing position, in which the anti-theft box is transferable from a closed state into an opened state, and a locking position, in which the anti-theft box is not transferable from the closed state into the opened state, a locking mechanism associated with the housing and having an unlocked state, in which the housing is displaceable from the locking position into the releasing position, and a locked state, in which the housing is not displaceable from the locking position into the releasing position.
MATCHING AN USER TAKEN IMAGE WITH ACCESS CONTROL APPARATUS REFERENCES FOR PHYSICAL ACCESS CONTROL
It is provided a method for enabling access control for access to a physical space secured by a lock device. The method is performed in a security device and comprises the steps of: obtaining at least one image captured using a first camera of a portable key device, the at least one image being captured in a vicinity of the lock device; receiving a template decryption key from a lock device over a short-range communication link; obtaining a credential associated with the lock device; matching the at least one image with a plurality of templates, each template being associated with a lock device, which comprises obtaining the plurality of templates by decrypting encrypted templates using the template decryption key; and wherein a positive match is a necessary condition for opening the lock device.
HEALTH SERVICE SYSTEM
A health service system for caring for the health of a patient. In one example, the health service system operates to present media content in association with a telehealth consultation. The health service system generates a virtual waiting room for display on a patient device, which presents a media content presentation. After the media content presentation has concluded, the health service system facilitates the telehealth consultation between a patient and a care provider. In some configurations the health service system further includes at least one hub care facility. The hub care facility includes a locked door with a scanner that unlocks the locked door upon scanning a time sensitive door unlock code; and a locked medication locker with a scanner that unlocks the locked medication locker upon scanning a medication locker unlock code.
Sensing and controlling states of locking mechanisms
An affixable device can include a locking mechanism, a force-limiting mechanism, and a sensing mechanism. The locking mechanism can include an engagement component configured to disable the locking mechanism. The force-limiting mechanism can be configured to limit a locking force of the locking mechanism. The sensing mechanism can be coupled to the engagement component, and can be configured to determine that the force-limiting mechanism has limited the locking force of the locking mechanism. In response to determining the force-limiting mechanism limiting the locking force, the sensing mechanism can cause the engagement component to disable the locking mechanism.
High security two-way virtual cross-barrier observation and communication device
A high security two-way virtual cross-barrier observation and communication device has a mounting frame with a hardened core, a pair of digital displays, and a pair of cameras. The mounting frame may correspond to a typical interior door of a building or a relevant component of a vehicle, aircraft, or other relevant application. The hardened core is bullet-resistant and fire-resistant to protect occupants of a protected space from harm. The digital displays and cameras are positioned on opposing sides of the mounting frame, each camera transmitting a live video feed to the opposing display, creating the appearance of a window while protecting occupants. The digital displays may be used to display any desired information. An emergency protocol may be activated to communicate with emergency services. A plurality of laminate layers bond and encapsulate the displays and cameras to the hardened core, forming a rugged, self-contained unit with no moving parts.
LOCK ASSEMBLY FOR NON-PIVOTABLE DOOR
A locking assembly for a non-pivotable door is provided. The locking assembly comprises a spacer plate defining a spacer plate bolt void and a strike plate defining a strike plate bolt void. The spacer plate and strike plate are to be coupled to one another and further fixedly coupled to the non-pivotable door, such that the spacer plate bolt void and the strike plate bolt void are aligned. The locking assembly further comprises a locking mechanism and a housing, which is configured to receive and contain the locking mechanism. The locking mechanism comprises a latch bolt that is moveable between a retracted position within the housing and a deployed position. In the deployed position, the latch bolt extends outwardly from the housing and into each of the spacer plate bolt void and the strike plate bolt void, thereby locking the non-pivotable door to the housing.
Door lock bolt plate pivot system, and associated structures and methods
Disclosed are embodiments of a tapered bolt receiver for a door lock to accommodate misalignment, between a deadbolt mounted to a door, and an opposing jamb. The tapered bolt receiver can be configured to accommodate misalignment for a deadbolt having a non-tapered bolt, such as for an electromechanical smart lock having a battery stored within a battery compartment that is integrated with an enhanced bolt. Also disclosed are embodiments of a deadbolt plate pivot assembly that is pivotably mountable to a corresponding deadbolt assembly to define a plate pivot system, to accommodate a beveled door edge. An illustrative embodiment of the deadbolt plate pivot assembly includes opposing plate that captures a hinge assembly, which can include plastic plate hinges, which serve to locate the deadbolt plate pivot assembly with respect to a corresponding bolt housing, and can provide a spring force and/or constant torque when mounted to a beveled door.
Method of Providing a Gateway between Mobile Devices and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) Enabled Readers
An RFID magnetic field powered translating device that acts as a gateway between mobile devices and radio frequency identification (RFID) enabled readers. The gateway enables the portable device to emulate access credentials for physical access, computer credentials, licenses and payment cards using Bluetooth communication between the portable mobile device and translating device; and RFID emulation at either 125 khz or 13.56 MHz between the translating device and the RFID reader.
SAFETY SYSTEMS FOR OBJECTS AND METHODS
A safety system for an object having a transmitter that comprises a microcontroller to generate an identification signal having a given frequency and a resonant circuit to amplify the signal. The transmitter is suitable to be placed in the vicinity of the body of a person to capacitively couple the identification signal to it. The safety system also comprises a receiver suitable to be capacitively coupled to the body in order to receive the first identification signal and to recognize based on the identification signal if a user is an authorized user. The safety system estimates the actual resonant frequency of the resonant circuit when the circuit is amplifying the signal and the microcontroller is adapted to choose as frequency for the identification signal the closest frequency to the estimated actual resonant circuit it can generate so that the amplification of the identification signal is maximized.
Real-time vehicle feature customization at point of access
Systems and methods for vehicle customization are disclosed. Customizing a vehicle configuration may include associating a wireless device of a user with the vehicle. The vehicle customization system may detect a first occurrence of an event corresponding to a set of customizable control options for the vehicle. The vehicle customization system may optionally respond to the first occurrence of the event based on a default option of the set of customizable control options. The vehicle customization system may send, to the wireless device, a notification of the event. The vehicle customization system may receive, from the wireless device, a selected control option of the set of customizable control options corresponding to the event. The vehicle customization system may respond to a second occurrence of the event based on the selected control option.
