Barrier control system
A barrier control system running a program thereon, the barrier control system including a main body, a control unit disposed within at least a portion of the main body to execute the program to control operations of the main body, and at least one control device connected to the control unit to control operations of the main body through the control unit based on the program.
Electronic access control
An embodiment of an electronic access control system includes an electronic key, an electronic lock, and an access control administration program. The electronic key can include program code for switching between a lock mode and a computer mode. In some embodiments, the lock mode and computer mode allow for simplified administration and operation of the access control system. Some embodiments of the electronic key include a rechargeable battery. In some embodiments, the access control system includes a hybrid power supply system having a rechargeable battery and a generator. In some embodiments, the electronic lock includes a piezoelectric latch. In some embodiments, the electronic key is configured to act as a storage device for a computer system. Some embodiments provide an electronic access control system with a streamlined user interface.
System and process for authenticating a user in a region
A system for identifying users for entrance to an area comprising a point of entry into a pre-defined area. The system comprises a first computing device having a microprocessor, a memory and a screen disposed adjacent to the point of entry. There is also at least one second computing device having at least one microprocessor and at least one memory, said at least one second computing device being disposed remote from the first computing device. There is at least one third computing device having at least one screen and at least one microprocessor wherein the third computing device is in communication with the second computing device wherein the second computing device is configured to send at least one image to the first computing device and to the third computing device wherein when an image at the point of entry matches an image on the third computing device the port of entry will allow the user holding the third computing device into the point of entry.
Privileged access and anti-theft protection for premises using lock box
A method is provided herein. The method includes disabling, by an electronic lock box, a programmable key based on the programmable key being placed in the electronic lock box. The method also includes enabling, by the electronic lock box, the programmable key based on the electronic lock box being accessed.
MULTIFAMILY ELECTRONIC LOCK CREDENTIAL MANAGEMENT
An electronic lock access management system includes an electronic lock and a server system. In some embodiments, the server system includes a memory storing a database including a plurality of user accounts, each user account being associated with a set of privileges and one or more properties, each property being associated with one or more locks, each of the locks being associated with one or more access codes that are specific to each user. In some embodiments, the electronic lock stores, in the lock memory, an encrypted copy of an access code list received from the server system based on a set of access codes that are associated with the electronic lock in the database.
Smart lock box
A smart lock box system is described. One implementation of the lock box system includes a locking mechanism configured to securely hold a cover over a compartment. The lock box system includes a receiver capable of receiving signals from a user device. The lock box system also includes a processor configured to identify an access message in a received signal, a service to verify that the access message was provided by an authorized party, and cause the locking mechanism to be released in response to verifying that the access message was provided by the authorized party. The open/close events are recorded in a distributed ledger to document which user's device was used to access a given property at a given time. Furthermore, the smart lock box system utilizes a push notification service, based on user device's GPS, to inform owners when to depart/return to the property.
Method and system for providing mobile ticketing to users
A mobile ticketing method and system for providing mobile ticketing services to users is provided. A user selects a mobile ticket and initiates payment by using a user device. In response to successful processing of the payment, the user device receives encrypted QR data from a server. The user device decrypts and format the encrypted QR data to display a QR code. The QR code is scanned at a gate terminal associated with an entry or exit gate. The gate terminal validates the QR code and broadcasts data pertaining to the QR code via a BLE network. The user device verifies the gate terminal on receiving the broadcasted data via the BLE network, and transmits a connection request to the gate terminal. The gate terminal further validates the connection request and decides whether to allow or disallow the user to pass through the entry or exit gate.
ESTABLISHMENT OF SECURE BLUETOOTH CONNECTION TO INTERNET OF THINGS DEVICES, SUCH AS ELECTRONIC LOCKS
Systems and methods are disclosed for managing secure connection between a mobile device and an Internet of things device, such as an electronic lock. In some instances, a mutual authentication process is performed, and public keys are exchanged. Once keys are exchanged, subsequent communication between the devices may be encrypted using a shared key generated using the exchanged keys.
PROVIDING ACCESS TO A LOCK FOR A SERVICE PROVIDER USING A GRANT TOKEN AND CREDENTIAL
According to a first aspect, it is provided a method for providing access to a lock for provision of a service. The method comprises the steps of: receiving a request for access to the lock; sending a consumer request to a service consumer device, asking whether to grant access to the lock; receiving a positive consumer response from the service consumer device; determining validity time for a grant token; obtaining a grant token for the service provider, the grant token having the determined validity time; providing the grant token to the service provider; deleting the grant token in the access coordination server; receiving an agent request for access to the lock for a specific service provider agent device, the agent request comprising the grant token; obtaining a credential for the service provider agent device; and providing the credential to the service provider agent device.
Utilizing caveats for wireless credential access
A method according to one embodiment includes receiving, by an access control device, a credential token from a mobile device, wherein the credential token includes an access credential, a credential identifier, and a caveat that instructs the access control device to perform an associated action, determining, by the access control device, a credential type associated with the access credential based on the credential identifier, determining, by the access control device, a set of caveat rules associated with the credential type, wherein the set of caveat rules identifies one or more actions authorized for an access credential of the credential type, and performing, by the access control device, the associated action identified by the caveat in response to a determination that the associated action is an action authorized by the set of caveat rules associated with the credential type.
