BIOMETRIC ENABLED ACCESS CONTROL

An access control system and a method for operating an access control system are provided. The access control system includes a camera and an access control device and may additionally include a local processing device. At least one of the camera, the access control device, and the local processing device (when included) may be used to store a biometric identifier (e.g., in a storage medium) and compare an optical image with the biometric identifier (e.g., in an authentication module) to decide whether or not a mechanical or electronic lock should be unlocked. The camera, the access control device, and the local processing device (when included) are in short-range communication (e.g., to transmit the optical image and/or an authentication signal). The use of short-range communication allows the comparison of the optical image with the stored biometric identifier to be done locally instead of remotely (e.g., in a sever).

SECURITY SYSTEM FOR A MOVEABLE BARRIER OPERATOR

Electronic systems are provided for secure actuation of a remote device such as a moveable barrier operator. The systems address the “man in the middle” problem of persons intercepting and duplicating radio frequency signals from a control device by introducing timing parameters into a bidirectional communication sequence between at least two devices.

POWER CONTROL SYSTEM FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE AND A METHOD THEREFOR
20220198849 · 2022-06-23 · ·

A power control system for an electric vehicle without a start manipulator, and a method therefor, includes a communication device that performs wireless communication with an electronic key and a body controller connected with the communication device. The body controller determines a power control mode as a factory mode or an electronic key discharge mode based on whether an electronic key is learned and whether a battery of the electronic key is discharged and controls vehicle power transition depending on power transition logic matched to the determined power control mode.

Onboard system for a vehicle and process for sending a command to a park area access system

An onboard system (4) for a vehicle (2) comprising:—an emitter circuit (8) suitable to send a command (C) to a park area access system (22);—an image sensor (6) suitable to capture a sequence of images (S) of at least part of a body of a driver (D) of the vehicle (2); and—a control module (10) suited to process said sequence of images (S) so as to identify a behavioral feature and then control the emitter circuit (8) to send the command (C) to the park area access system (22) provided the identified behavioral feature corresponds to a predetermined behavioral feature. A corresponding process is also proposed.

Universal barrier operator transmitter

A controller for a door operator including a processor, a first actuator, and a transmitter, and associated method. The method may include inverting bit positions of a rolling code, dividing the inverted code by a predetermined number, converting the divided inverted code to base 9 coefficients, and substituting an output nibble for each base 9 coefficient in the divided converted code. The transmitter may be configured to transmit the substituted output nibble responsive to actuation of the first actuator.

CONTROLLING ACCESS BASED ON A MACHINE-LEARNING MODEL

It is provided a method for controlling access to a physical space secured by an electronic lock. The method is performed in an access evaluator and comprises: obtaining one or more input parameters relating to a user requesting access to the restricted physical space; evaluating a first access condition based on a credential presented by the user; evaluating a second access condition using a machine-learning model, based on the one or more input parameters; and unlocking the electronic lock when both the first access condition and the second access condition are evaluated to be true.
