An accessible and usable mobile device application is provided herein that integrates with a technology network designed to increase an ability to orient, locate and travel within indoor and outdoor physical environments independently, safely, and securely for people with sensory disabilities and the aging population who have visual, hearing, mobility, and/or cognitive disabilities.
DUPLEX BLUETOOTH TRANSMISSION TIRE PRESSURE SYSTEM
A duplex Bluetooth transmission tire pressure system is provided. The duplex Bluetooth transmission tire pressure system includes a host, a plural of Bluetooth tire pressure detectors and a plural of vehicle transceivers; the host is electrically connected to the plural of vehicle transceivers; the plural of vehicle transceivers and the plural of Bluetooth tire pressure detectors are Bluetooth duplex packet transmitted. The plural of Bluetooth tire pressure detectors includes a locating program and a tire condition program. The host commands the vehicle transceiver to transmit a Bluetooth controlling packet to the plural of Bluetooth tire pressure detectors to operate or stop the locating program and limit the tire condition program.
Vehicle control apparatus, vehicle control method, recording medium with program for control recorded, and vehicle control system
A vehicle control apparatus includes a battery remaining-amount recognizing unit recognizing a remaining amount of a battery and a distance measurement control unit measuring a vehicle-terminal distance by switching, based on the remaining amount of the battery recognized by the battery remaining-amount recognizing unit, between a first distance measurement mode repeatedly measuring the vehicle-terminal distance by a distance measuring unit without depending on reception of measurement instruction information transmitted from a mobile terminal and a second distance measurement mode measuring the vehicle-terminal distance by the distance measuring unit in response to reception of the measurement instruction information transmitted from the mobile terminal when communication is established between the vehicle communication control unit and the mobile terminal.
Prestaging, gesture-based, access control system
A prestaging, gesture-based, access control system includes a local access assembly, a mobile device, a storage medium, and a processor. The assembly includes a controller to effect actuation between access and no-access states. The mobile device is carried by a user, and includes a detection system configured to detect a prestaging event inherently performed by the user toward an intent to gain access and followed by the detection of a primary intentional gesture specifically performed by the user toward the intent to gain access. The storage medium and the processor are configured to receive prestaging event information and primary intentional gesture information from the detection system, and execute an application to determine the performance of the prestaging event from the prestaging event information, then determine the performance of the primary intentional gesture from the primary intentional gesture information if the prestaging event is determined to have occurred.
VIDEO-BASED DOOR OPERATION USING OBJECT TRACKING OF MOBILITY ASSISTANCE DEVICES
Disclosed are methods, systems, and apparatus for video-based door operation using object tracking of mobility assistance devices. A method includes detecting, in one or more images captured by a camera, a mobility assistance device; in response to detecting the mobility assistance device, determining, using the one or more images captured by the camera, a trajectory of the mobility assistance device; determining that the trajectory of the mobility assistance device satisfies a criterion for operating a door; and in response to determining that the trajectory of the mobility assistance device satisfies the criterion for operating the door, transmitting, to a door operator, a command to operate the door. A method includes determining whether the operation of the door satisfies performance criteria using one or more second images; and in response to determining that the operation of the door does not satisfy performance criteria, updating the criterion for operating the door.
ULTRA-WIDEBAND ACCESSORY DEVICES FOR RADIO FREQUENCY INTENT DETECTION IN ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS
A system according to one embodiment includes an access control device comprising a lock mechanism configured to secure access to a passageway, and a UWB accessory device configured to receive a credential of the mobile device via Bluetooth communication, determine, using UWB ranging of the UWB accessory device, a location of a mobile device relative to the passageway secured by the lock mechanism of the access control device, determine whether a user of the mobile device intends to access the passageway based on the determined location of the user relative to the passageway, and communicate an indication that the user intends to access the passageway to the electronic lock via Bluetooth communication, and wherein the access control device is configured to unlock the lock mechanism in response to the indication that the user intends to access the passageway.
VEHICLE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A communication system for facilitating control over a function of a vehicle (102) comprises a base station (104) positioned in the vehicle (102) and a mobile communication unit (122). The base station (104) comprises a first transmitter for transmitting a signal to the mobile communication unit (122) and a first receiver for receiving a signal from the mobile communication unit (122). The base station (104) is further configured to cause the mobile communication unit (122) to operate in accordance with a limited-response duty cycle.
Time-of-flight vehicle user localization
A method for localizing a user device using a Time of Flight (ToF) antenna array disposed on a vehicle, the method includes determining, via a ToF localization controller, that the user device is less than a threshold distance from the vehicle, determining an angle of arrival via the ToF localization controller and the ToF antenna array, and generating an unlock signal that unlocks a vehicle door responsive to determining that the user device is less than the threshold distance from the vehicle door.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING DOOR ACCESS USING BEACON SIGNAL
A method and system allow management of access to a door using a beacon signal. A user access authority determination unit controls access of a user to a target door based beacon data from beacons installed near a door. The user carries a terminal that obtains the beacon data based on a proximity to the beacons. The method includes identifying the target door based on identification information of the beacons extracted from the beacon data. A type of user movement is determined. The type of user movement includes an entering movement that the user enters into an inner side from an outer side through the target door and an exiting movement that the user exits the inner side to the outer side through the target door. An access authentication process to be performed to unlock the target door is determined according to the determined type of user movement.
Systems and methods for controlling access to a secured space
Systems and methods for controlling access to a secured space are disclosed. The system includes a locking device having a body having a rotatable locking cam having a locked paddle and an unlocked paddle. The cam is rotatable between a first position and a second position. The body also has a locking pin and a power supply for supplying electrical power to circuit components of the locking device. The locking device also includes a shackle having two arms. One of the two arms has a groove in a bottom portion thereof configured to engage with the locking pin when the shackle is in a closed position. In the first position, the locked paddle of the rotatable locking cam engages the locking pin in the groove. In the second position, the locked paddle of the rotatable locking cam is disengaged from the locking pin.
