Embodiments herein relate to fuel monitoring systems and related methods. In an embodiment, a fuel monitoring system for a vehicle is included having a fuel filter sensor device configured to generate data reflecting a filter restriction value of a fuel filter, a geolocation circuit configured to generate or receive geolocation data, and a system control circuit configured to evaluate the sensor data to determine changes in the filter restriction value. The control circuit can receive fuel level data, cross-reference geolocation data and fuel level data to identify refueling locations utilized, and correlate refueling locations with subsequent changes in filter restriction to identify an effect of specific refueling locations on fuel filter loading. In some embodiments, a refueling guidance system for a vehicle is included that can provide route and/or refueling site recommendations based on fuel filter loading rate data. Other embodiments are also included herein.

In the relaxation process, the control device expands the prescribed electric power range, when the estimated charging rate is higher than a first prescribed charging rate.

A handle assembly for a closure of a vehicle includes a force-based sensor disposed beneath an uninterrupted class-A surface and responsive to a force applied thereto. The handle assembly includes a handle ECU, configured to monitor the force-based sensor and to communicate with an electronic latch controller. A super-capacitor is disposed on a PCB within the handle assembly for providing electrical power to the handle ECU and the force-based sensor. The handle ECU includes one or more feedback devices such as LED lights, acoustic, and haptic devices to provide information about the status of the closure and the electronic latch system. The handle assembly is also configured to provide different responses to two or more different levels of force applied to the force-based sensor. An output interface in the handle assembly provides wired and wireless backup communications to the electronic latch controller.
