An equipment rental system comprising a kiosk, the kiosk comprising a user interface configured to receive user input and provide outputs to a user, a processor configured to receive the user input from the user interface, generate user output and control a locker system; and a locker system configured to store the equipment and allow access to the equipment under control of the processor, the processor configured to: receive log in and credential information form a user via the user interface, present the user a choice of equipment, receive a selection of equipment through the user interface, gather payment information from the user through the user interface, wherein the payment information corresponds to a period of use for the selected equipment, and control the locker system to make the selected equipment available to the user.

An access control system includes a verification computing system that stores access rights information and credential proxies received from user devices, receives from a local access control subsystem an input credential and input credential proxy derived therefrom and received from a present user, identifies the access rights information associated with the user according to the input credential proxy and the stored credential proxy, requests and receives a stored credential from the user device of the present user, and compares the stored credential to the input credential to authorize the present user. The access rights information is for each of the users to access spaces with the local access control subsystems. The stored credential proxies are derived from stored credential received by the user devices using an algorithm. The input credential proxies are derived from the input credentials using the algorithm.

The processing circuit is further configured to authenticate the customer, verify the customer is authorized to access the safety deposit box, release the safety deposit box from the locker, measure the change in weight of the safety deposit box, lock the locker, and transmit a notification to the customer when the safety deposit box has been returned to the vault.

Multi-site building access using mobile credentials

Methods and systems for managing facility access credentials for two or more facilities are disclosed. The method may include electronically receiving a user request to gain access to a designated facility of the two or more facilities and electronically receiving user information related to a user that is making the user request. A facility access credential from a group of facility access credentials that are assigned by a third-party credential issuer may be obtained and linked to the user information and the designated facility. The obtained facility access credential for use in gaining access to the designated facility may be activated resulting in an activated facility access credential and a notification transmitted to the user notifying the user of the activated facility access credential.
