The mount cage assembly facilitates tilting the bill validator backward from the bill insertion position to a servicing position that allows access to the bill validator for servicing from a back of the EGM cabinet. The mount cage assembly additionally facilitates lowering the bill validator from the bill insertion position to a collections position, such that the cash box can be accessed for collections. The mount cage assembly provides a way to easily service the bill validator while keeping the cash box secure.

A coin handling device for a coin handling machine, wherein the machine includes a coin container, a coin output arrangement, and a coin jam preventing arrangement including a coin jam preventing element and a flexible link having a free and a fixed end, wherein the coin jam preventing element is suspended in a volume of the coin container at the free end of the flexible link such that the coin jam preventing element is able to, freely, move around within a predefined volume (V) at least at the lower end of the coin container to physically interact with coins of the mass of coins present in the predefined volume (V).

A coin handling device for a coin handling machine, wherein the machine includes a coin container, a coin output arrangement, and a coin jam preventing arrangement including a coin jam preventing element and a flexible link having a free and a fixed end, wherein the coin jam preventing element is suspended in a volume of the coin container at the free end of the flexible link such that the coin jam preventing element is able to, freely, move around within a predefined volume (V) at least at the lower end of the coin container to physically interact with coins of the mass of coins present in the predefined volume (V).

A stripper assembly can include a feed wheel, a stripping tire, a drag clutch, and first and second stripping elements. The feed wheel and stripping tire can be mounted for rotation in clockwise (CW) and counter-clockwise (CCW) directions and can contact one another to define a nip through which papers are directed. The drag clutch can be interposed between the stripping tire and the shaft it is mounted upon. The first and second stripping elements can be positioned on the shaft of the stripping tire on opposite sides of the nip. Each of the stripping elements can be configured and positioned to engage papers passing through the nip. The drag clutch is not interposed between either of the first and second stripping elements and the shaft of the stripping tire.
