Cash handling system and cash handling method
In order to improve efficiency of an operation of a cash handling system and reduce the labor required for the operation, a POS register receives an input of a cash-out amount, and an input of a charge amount. The POS register reads a debit card ID from a debit card, and transmits a settlement request including the debit card ID and a settlement amount to a management server. Upon receiving the settlement request, the management server withdraws the settlement amount from an account, and transmits a settlement permission to the POS register. Upon receiving the settlement permission from the management server, the POS register performs charge of electronic money, and transmits a dispensing instruction for the cash-out amount to a change machine. The change machine receives the dispensing instruction and dispenses cash.
NON-TRANSITORY RECORDING MEDIUM AND PAPER SHEET HANDLING APPARATUS
A paper sheet handling apparatus includes: a displacement amount detector that includes a pressing part intended to press a paper sheet against a transporting face of a paper sheet transporting path and having an initial position at which the pressing part is not in contact with the transporting face of the paper sheet transporting path, the displacement amount detector detecting a displacement amount of displacement of the pressing part from the initial position in a direction perpendicular to the transporting face, the pressing part being displaced according to a thickness of a paper sheet passing between the transporting face and the pressing part; a reference displacement amount storage; a paper sheet thickness storage; and a tape thickness threshold storage.

Stripper Assembly
A stripper assembly can include a feed wheel, a stripping tire, a drag clutch, and first and second stripping elements. The feed wheel and stripping tire can be mounted for rotation in clockwise (CW) and counter-clockwise (CCW) directions and can contact one another to define a nip through which papers are directed. The drag clutch can be interposed between the stripping tire and the shaft it is mounted upon. The first and second stripping elements can be positioned on the shaft of the stripping tire on opposite sides of the nip. Each of the stripping elements can be configured and positioned to engage papers passing through the nip. The drag clutch is not interposed between either of the first and second stripping elements and the shaft of the stripping tire.

Control Method for Banknote Accumulation Device, and Device and Cash Processing Apparatus
Provided are a method for controlling a banknote accumulation device, and a banknote accumulation device and a cash processing apparatus. The method includes: determining whether a banknote to enter a receiving cavity is an abnormal banknote; where the abnormal banknote is a banknote that meets any of the following: the tilt angle of the banknote exceeds a first preset value, the length of the banknote exceeds a second preset value, the banknote and another banknote are stuck together, the banknote overlaps another banknote, or the spacing between the banknote and an adjacent banknote is smaller than a third preset value; in response to determining that the banknote to enter the receiving cavity is the abnormal banknote, controlling a support plate to move to increase the height of the banknote accumulation space; and controlling a banknote conveying mechanism to convey the abnormal banknote into the receiving cavity.
STERILIZING MEDIA CASSETTE
A sterilizing media cassette is described for docking with a self-service terminal or a docking terminal. The sterilizing media cassette has a body having a lower portion and four sides. The body is adapted to hold a stack of media items such as banknotes on support members positioned above the lower portion of the body. A lid is provided that couples to the body. The lid forms an enclosed inner space when coupled to the body. An ozone gas source and/or a heat source is mounted on an inner surface of the body or the inner surface of the lid. A controller activates the ozone gas source and/or a heat source to sterilize the stack of media items. This may be done for a predetermined fixed period of time after the sterilizing media cassette is docked with a self-service terminal or a docking terminal.
MEDIUM PROCESSING APPARATUS
The present disclosure provides a medium processing apparatus, including: a housing provided with a surface facing a customer operating the medium processing apparatus; and a rolled coin device housed in the housing and configured to process rolled coins formed by bundling a plurality of loose coins. The surface of the housing includes a designated area located in a height range conforming to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standard with respect to a height direction of the medium processing apparatus, and a rolled coin dispensing port of the rolled coin device for dispensing the rolled coins is arranged in the designated area.
