Banknote acceptor feeder device
A banknote feeder device (3) configured to interconnect and operate in conjunction with a banknote acceptor apparatus (2), the banknote feeder device (3) comprising a banknote transport mechanism operable, when the banknote feeder device (3) is connected to the banknote acceptor apparatus (2), to transport a banknote from a banknote input aperture to a banknote output aperture. The banknote transport mechanism comprises a linear succession of spaced-apart pairs of transport wheels (22) and each transport wheel extends at least partially through a banknote transport conduit surface into an interior cavity of the banknote transport conduit between the banknote input aperture and the banknote output aperture.
STACKING AND DISPENSING MODULE
A stacking and dispensing module (2) for use in an automatic teller machine (4), the module is configured to be arranged in connection with a banknote storage unit (6) comprising a banknote tray (8) on which banknotes (10) are stacked, the stacking and dispensing module (2) is configured to be in a banknote stacking mode, when banknotes are stacked in said storage unit (6), and in a banknote dispensing mode, when banknotes are dispensed from said storage unit (6). A stacking wheel member (12) is active both during the banknote stacking mode and during the banknote dispensing mode, and that the rotation of the stacking wheel member (12) is configured to be controlled by a first direct current (DC) motor (20), and the rotation of a dispensing wheel member (16) is configured to be controlled by a second DC motor (22). The module further comprises:—a current measuring unit (24) configured to measure the currents applied to drive said first and second DC motors (20, 22) and to generate current signals (26, 28) in dependence thereto,—a control unit (30) configured to receive said current signals (26, 28), wherein the control unit (30) is configured to evaluate said current signals (26, 28) and to determine control signals (32, 34) for various functions of said module in dependence of said evaluation, and to apply said control signals for controlling said functions.
Systems and methods for automated teller drawer counting and balancing
Systems, methods, and apparatuses using a processor coupled to a non-transitory machine-readable medium storing instructions. The processor is configured to count a first amount of currency, wherein the first amount of currency is the actual amount of currency received by a teller money drawer, receive an indication of a second amount of currency, wherein the second amount of currency is an expected amount of currency, compare the first amount of currency to the second amount of currency, discover a discrepancy between the first amount of currency and the second amount of currency, and transmit discrepancy information to be displayed on a teller computing device.
MONEY HANDLING MACHINE AND MONEY HANDLING METHOD
A money handling method to be executed by a money handling machine including a body and an extension unit. The method includes: instructing the extension unit to replenish the body with money with a specified denomination; replenishing the body from the extension unit in accordance with the instruction; recognizing a denomination of each of the money sent from the extension unit; storing the money in a first storage unit associated with a first denomination in a first case where the denomination recognized is the first denomination identical to the specified denomination; storing money in a second storage unit in a second case where the denomination recognized is a second denomination different from the specified denomination; and continuing the replenishment with the money using the extension unit as instructed in both the first case and the second case.

Money handling machine and money handling method
A money handling machine includes: a housing; a drawer that is drawable from the housing; a locking mechanism configured to lock the drawer in the housing; an identification information acquisition unit configured to acquire identification information of an operator; and a controller configured to control the locking mechanism such that, when an error occurs in a handling unit, the drawer can be drawn from the housing subject to the identification information of the operator having been acquired by the identification information acquisition unit.

Systems, methods and devices for coin processing and coin recycling
Currency processing systems, coin processing machines, coin sorting and recycling assemblies, and methods of making and methods of using the same are presented herein. A currency processing system is disclosed which includes a housing with a coin input area for receiving coins and coin receptacles for stowing processed coins. A disk-type coin processing unit includes a rotatable disk for imparting motion to input coins, and a sorting head for separating and discharging coins from exit stations. An automated coin chute receives coins from one of the exit stations. The automated coin chute includes a movable diverter plate that selectively transitions between a first position, whereby coins received from the exit station of the disk-type coin processing unit are redirected through a coin-recycling output passage to a coin-recycling receptacle, and a second position, whereby coins received from the exit station are redirected through a coin-depositing output passage to a coin-depositing receptacle.

Method, system, and computer readable medium for setting discrimination criterion information
A method for setting discrimination criterion information pieces for one or more additional denominations in a coin discrimination apparatus is provided, which eliminates the task of visiting the installation location of an existing coin discrimination apparatus to exchange this apparatus for a new one including discrimination criterion information pieces for one or more additional denominations and the task of setting discrimination criterion information pieces for the one or more additional denominations manually in the apparatus. A target denomination is designated from current denominations whose discrimination criterion information pieces are stored in a coin discrimination apparatus. Then, discrimination criterion information pieces for an additional denomination are calculated based on discrimination criterion information pieces for the target denomination, target denomination standard information pieces corresponding to the discrimination criterion information pieces for the target denomination, and additional denomination standard information pieces corresponding to the discrimination criterion information pieces for the additional denomination.
