MONEY ITEM HANDLING SYSTEM AND METHOD
A money item handling system, comprising a mixed denomination money item storage region comprising at least one money item outlet routing; at least one money item collection zone arranged to receive mixed denomination money items outlet through the at least one money item outlet routing; at least one money item conveyor arranged to collect money items from the at least one money item collection zone and to convey money items collected from the at least one money item collection zone around a path of the at least one money item conveyor; at least one money item flow control apparatus; and at least one actuator configured to controllably actuate the at least one money item flow control apparatus to selectively control movement of money items from the mixed denomination money item storage region to the at least one money item collection zone.
Coin diverter
There is provided a coin diverter that allows increase in the number of coin diversion directions and reduction in the size of a coin handling apparatus. The coin diverter includes a diverter member that diverts a coin from a transport path and a driver that changes the state of the diverter member to any of a first state in which the diverter member leads the coin toward the downstream side of the transport path, a second state in which the diverter member leads the coin in a first direction in which the coin drops from the transport path, and a third state in which the diverter member leads the coin in a second direction different from the direction toward the downstream side of the transport path and the first direction.
HOLDING DEVICE AND ARTICLE SUPPLY APPARATUS
A coin holding device includes a mechanism for treating coins fed in a plurality of feeding ports thereby supplying an article. The coin holding device capable of holding the fed coins, comprises a first opening in which some coins are fed, a second opening in which other coins are fed, a first path part through which coins fed in the first opening pass, a second path part through which coins fed in the second opening pass, a first holding unit capable of holding coins which pass through the first path part and a second holding unit capable of holding coins which pass through the path part, wherein the first path part and the second path port are arranged so as to face each other.
Method and apparatus for sorting disc-shaped objects
The invention relates to a device and a method for sorting disc-shaped objects, in particular coins. The device comprises a conveying device configured to convey individual disc-shaped objects along a conveyor path. A discharge unit comprising a pivotable diversion element serves to selectively discharge individual objects which are being conveyed along the conveyor path. The objects are discharged according to a previously determined classification for each object, in a classification system which differentiates between good parts and defective parts. In order to discharge an object, the diversion element is designed to be pivoted by means of a drive into the conveyor path such that, by means of the pivoting movement, the diversion element transfers a mechanical impulse to the object to be discharged. The impulse has, with respect to the direction of movement of the object at the time of the impulse transfer, both a perpendicular and an antiparallel impulse component. The impulse components are selected such that the impulse changes the direction of movement of the object, causing the object to be discharged from the conveyor path. During the sorting of good parts and defective parts, only the conveyed objects which have been classified as good parts in accordance with the classification system are discharged by means of the diversion element.
APPARATUS FOR DISCRIMINATION AND CONVEYANCE OF COINS
An apparatus for discrimination and conveyance of coins achieves downsizing of this apparatus itself with a simple and low-cost structure compared with conventional ones. The apparatus includes a coin separation unit, a coin discrimination unit, and a coin conveyance and distribution unit. Coins separated in the coin separation unit are moved in a first direction through a first delivering region and delivered to the coin discrimination unit. The coins whose denomination and authenticity are discriminated in the coin discrimination unit are moved in a second direction approximately perpendicular to the first direction in a plan view through a second delivering region and delivered to the coin conveyance and distribution unit. In the second delivering region, a conveying direction of the coins is changed from the first direction to the second direction. The coins are distributed while being conveyed in the second direction in the coin conveyance and distribution unit.
COIN DIVERTER AND COIN HANDLING APPARATUS
There is provided a coin diverter that allows increase in the number of coin diversion directions and reduction in the size of a coin handling apparatus. The coin diverter includes a diverter member that diverts a coin from a transport path and a driver that changes the state of the diverter member to any of a first state in which the diverter member leads the coin toward the downstream side of the transport path, a second state in which the diverter member leads the coin in a first direction in which the coin drops from the transport path, and a third state in which the diverter member leads the coin in a second direction different from the direction toward the downstream side of the transport path and the first direction.

Coin handling apparatus
A coin handling apparatus capable of appropriately feeding coins is provided. A coin handling apparatus includes a plurality of storing units each including an inclining disk rotated in an inclining attitude in which the inclining disk inclines by a predetermined angle with respect to a vertical direction and a transport unit that transports coins. The storing units form a plurality of rows along the transport unit, and the rows each include a plurality of the storing units and are each disposed so that surfaces of adjacent inclining disks in the row face each other.

The impulse components are selected such that the impulse changes the direction of movement of the object, causing the object to be discharged from the conveyor path. During the sorting of good parts and defective parts, only the conveyed objects which have been classified as good parts in accordance with the classification system are discharged by means of the diversion element.
