BANKNOTE CLASSIFICATION AND IDENTIFICATION METHOD AND DEVICE BASED ON LAB COLOR SPACE
A method and a device for banknote classification and recognition based on a Lab color space are provided for improving the denomination recognition rate. The method includes obtaining an RGB image of a banknote to be detected; calculating gray values Gray R, Gray G and Gray B of the RGB image in red (R), green (G) and blue (B) wavebands; converting the gray values Gray R, Gray G and Gray B into gray values Gray a and Gray b in the Lab color space; and substituting a product of Gray a and Gray b and a difference between the absolute value of Gray a and the absolute value of Gray b into preset formulas to determine a category of the banknote to be detected.
Detection method, detection apparatus and detection process
Provided are a detection method, a detection apparatus and a detection process. The detection method includes: using a sensor for idle scanning to obtain a first output electrical signal, and performing feedback correction on the first output electrical signal to eliminate a noise to obtain first correction data; using the sensor to scan a correction specimen page to obtain a second output electrical signal, and performing the feedback correction on the second output electrical signal to eliminate a noise to obtain second correction data; calculating according to the first correction data, the second correction data and an electrical signal predetermined value to obtain third correction data; using the sensor to scan a to-be-detected object to obtain a third output electrical signal; and correcting the third output electrical signal according to the first correction data and the third correction data. In the detection method obtains an accurate detection result.

BILL RECOGNIZING AND COUNTING APPARATUS
A bill recognizing and counting apparatus includes an operation unit that receives setting of bill processing modes including a denomination mode, a counting mode, a different-denomination recognition mode, and an authenticity determination mode; a feeding and transporting mechanism; and a control unit that performs control for changing a processing speed according to the bill processing mode. When the bill processing mode is in the counting mode, the different-denomination recognition mode, or the authenticity determination mode, the control unit increases the processing speed by setting the feeding and transporting mechanism to a higher speed than the speed set in the denomination mode. The increase in speed is in accordance with a reduced time necessary to process a reduced amount of data associated with the denomination mode.
Non-transitory recording medium and paper sheet handling apparatus
A paper sheet handling apparatus includes: a displacement amount detector that includes a pressing part intended to press a paper sheet against a transporting face of a paper sheet transporting path and having an initial position at which the pressing part is not in contact with the transporting face of the paper sheet transporting path, the displacement amount detector detecting a displacement amount of displacement of the pressing part from the initial position in a direction perpendicular to the transporting face, the pressing part being displaced according to a thickness of a paper sheet passing between the transporting face and the pressing part; a reference displacement amount storage; a paper sheet thickness storage; and a tape thickness threshold storage.
