METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DISPLAY AND DISPENSING OF A PRODUCT
Methods and apparatus are disclosed. The apparatus includes a housing, a lid assembly, a base, a dispenser assembly, and embedded signage. The housing includes a number of walls forming an internal volume, a top opening, and a bottom opening. At least one wall is composed of a translucent material. The lid assembly is operable to facilitate loading of an item into the housing, and the dispenser assembly is operable to dispense the item from the housing. The embedded signage is positioned at an internal surface of the at least one wall and/or integrated into the at least one wall, such that information displayed by the embedded signage is visible from a point external to the housing.
ARTICLE DISPENSING APPARATUS
An article dispensing apparatus includes: one article discharging apparatus; and another article discharging apparatus, the one article discharging apparatus and the other article discharging apparatus being capable of being combined in a back-to-back manner. The one article discharging apparatus includes: a driving source; an output gear configured to rotate by a driving force from the driving source when a discharging instruction has been given to the one article discharging apparatus; link levers where each link lever is provided rotatably about an axis of the link lever; and a controller configured to, when the output gear is rotated from the standby position by the discharging instruction, prohibit stopping of drive of the driving source to allow the rotation of the output gear until a preset prohibited time elapses from starting of the rotation of the output gear even when supply of electric power to the driving source is interrupted.

ARTICLE DISPENSING APPARATUS
An article dispensing apparatus includes: an article discharging apparatus including a lower pedal and an upper pedal; an out-of-stock detection switch configured to: be turned to a first state when the lower pedal is turned to a second standby attitude; and be turned to a second state when the lower pedal is turned to any attitude other than the second standby attitude; and a controller configured to determine that an article has been dispensed from an article storage passage by the fact that the out-of-stock detection switch is turned to the first state when the article discharging apparatus is driven.
KIOSK FOR EVALUATING AND PURCHASING USED ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Various embodiments of kiosks for purchasing and/or recycling mobile phones and other mobile electronic devices from users are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, the kiosks are relatively small (e.g., less than 0.75 cubic feet) and/or are configured to mount to other kiosks or other suitable mounting structures in publicly accessible areas. The kiosks can include an inspection area having a transparent plate through which the mobile electronic device can be viewed by a camera in the kiosk. The transparent plate can be movable (e.g., tiltable) to direct the mobile electronic device to one or more bins below the inspection area. The kiosk can also include one or more deflecting plates configured to direct the mobile electronic device to a selected bin. One or more of the deflecting plates can be configured to move (e.g., tilt) between two or more configurations to direct mobile electronic device to the selected bin.
Mobile self-vending beverage distribution system
A mobile self-vending beverage dispenser is disclosed. In embodiments, the dispenser includes a mobile housing divided into segmented sections. Each segmented section includes an outlet at the bottom for dispensing canned beverages and an access hatch for loading canned beverages into the segmented section. Each segmented section includes a vertical staggered raceway extending from the access hatch the outlet via which the segmented section is loaded with canned beverages, the cans traveling in a gravity-assisted path downward to the outlet for dispensing upon request.
