A self-service kiosk for dispensing eyewear is disclosed. The kiosk includes a display for depicting available frame and lens options to customers. A user interface accepts eyewear order information from a customer including the customer's prescription information and frame selection. The kiosk also includes a lens manufacturing device that is wholly contained within the kiosk for manufacturing optical lenses in the prescription of the customer, which are adapted for the selected frame. Further, the kiosk includes a dispensing mechanism for dispensing from the kiosk the manufactured lenses, along with the customer selected frame.

The packaged article has the article to be printed; a hanger having a hanging arm and an upset, the hanging arm disposed the article, wherein the hanger and the article have a rolled configuration; and a retainer disposed around the hanging arm for securing the article in a rolled configuration. The system also includes a storage area containing the packaged article and a transfer system. The transfer system is configured to retrieve the packaged article from the storage area; remove the retainer from the article; move the article to the direct-to-garment printer; and position a printing surface of the article at a distance from 2 mm to 10 mm away from a printing head of the direct-to-garment printer.

There is a cleaning subsystem 1131 which cleans out the liquid 9, and an antimicrobial system 1139 which reduces microbes on the customization device 1100. The automated bakery kiosk 1000 also has a customer interface 1610 that works with the processor 1510 and transport mechanism 1300 to transport the customer's bakery product 7 to a pick-up compartment 1020 when the customer 3 provides a proper code to access the bakery product 7.

In some examples, a key duplicating machine receives input from the user and passes data to the application in order to provide better and more specific assistance.
