Modular automated transaction machine
An automated transaction machine can include a user-interface device, a computing device, a battery, a head portion, a first socket-half, a first electrical rail, and a relay. The a user-interface device can be configured to receive an input from a user and transmit the input. The computing device can receive the input. The battery can selectively direct electric power to the user-interface device and the computing device, which can all be housed in the head portion. The first socket-half can be exposed on an outside surface of the head portion and direct power to the user-interface device, the computing device, and the battery. The relay can be arranged to connect the battery and the first electrical rail in a first configuration and be switched between the first configuration and the second configuration by an output signal of the first socket-half.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSFERRING ACCESS INFORMATION TO A BOX INSTALLATION USING A FIRST MODE OF COMMUNICATION
Disclosed is a method in which first information from an apparatus or a system is obtained. The first information is used to determine a first mode of communication for transferring access information to a box installation. Using the first information, the first mode of communication for transferring the access information to the box installation is determined. The access information is transferred to the box installation using the first mode of communication in order to obtain access to the box installation. Further, apparatuses and computer programs that are able to control and/or perform the respective methods are disclosed.
Parcel distributor, especially for stores
The parcel distributor is a modular set with additional storage module in the form of a ceiling box set on a corner box to which it is rigidly connected and coupled by a cantilever lift mounted in a vertical shaft formed in the support rack frames in both boxes. In each module, between their cantilever racks, there is an electrically driven Cartesian manipulator. On the Cartesian manipulator trolley, there is a grabbing mechanism for taking trays from the front or rear cantilever rack. The window for sending and collecting parcels in the distributor is a locker, preferably in the operating panel, which has an electrically lifted lock cooperating with a ratchet lock and limit switches blocking its lower position when the locker door is open.
Locker system for storage and delivery of packages
A modular system of locker banks for receipt and delivery of packages is described. The system may include associate modules each having one or more lockers and a control board in communication with each of the lockers in the module. Each locker may include a locker board having a processor and memory configured to control operation of the locker. Each locker may include a lock and a light. The system may further include one or more control modules, each having the above components and further including a kiosk having one or more input and output devices for entering information to the module for controlling operation of the system. The modular system may be connected to a server and/or an administrator terminal.
Computerized locker banks with enhanced forecasting capabilities
Computerized locker banks and related computing systems, according to various embodiments, are adapted to track consignee-specific and non-consignee-specific data regarding the pickup of parcels from particular locker banks (or other alternate delivery locations) and to use that information to forecast inventories for the particular locker banks over time. For example, the system may use this information, and/or other suitable information, to generate a set of projected inventories for a particular locker bank for each sequential two-hour block of time on a particular day. This information may be used to determine which locker bank to route a particular parcel to. This may be especially useful in the context of “not-in-one” deliveries in which a delivery driver unsuccessfully attempts to deliver a parcel to a consignee's primary delivery address and the parcel is re-routed to a locker bank or other alternative delivery location for later pickup by the consignee.
Garment personalization kiosk with orthogonal robotic retrieval system
Embodiments provide for systems and methods related to kiosks for personalizing a packaged article. The kiosks may also be used for storage, inventory management, retrieval, packaging, and/or personalization of packaged articles. The kiosks discussed herein differ from non-kiosk personalization systems, such as personalization systems installed on a factory or warehouse floor, in that the kiosks are self-contained personalization systems. In some embodiments, the kiosks are portable and can be moved between different sites or events. This portability allows the kiosks to personalize packaged articles for concerts, festivals, conventions, trade shows, and the like.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING WHETHER INFORMATION AUTHORIZES ACCESS TO A COMPARTMENT OF A COMPARTMENT SYSTEM
Disclosed is a method in which a hash value and a first piece of information are obtained from a second device. The hash value is associated with a compartment of the compartment system, and the first piece of information is associated with a first device. Further, a second piece of information is obtained from the first device. Based on the first piece of information and the hash value, it is determined whether the second piece of information authorizes access to one or more compartments of the compartment system. Three associated methods, one executed by a first device, one executed by a second device, and one executed by a mobile device, are also disclosed. In addition, corresponding devices, systems, and computer programs for the respective execution and/or control of one or more of the disclosed methods are disclosed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR GRANTING ACCESS TO COMPARTMENTS OF A COMPARTMENT INSTALLATION
Disclosed is a method in which a key is acquired; access information is generated; and the access information is encrypted with the key. Further, an indicator is associated with the access information and first data is output. The first data includes the access information encrypted with the key and the indicator. Third data is acquired from an apparatus having a key for decrypting the encrypted access information, and the third data includes a code word and an indicator. Access information is determined from the third data, and it is ascertained whether the code word authorizes access. Access is granted to a compartment installation if it was ascertained that the code word authorizes access. Two associated methods, one performed by a mobile apparatus, and another performed by a system are disclosed. Furthermore, corresponding apparatuses, systems, and computer programs are disclosed.
