Stackable integrated circuit cards
Systems and methods allow for the integrated circuit cards (ICCs) to removably couple to each other and transmit information to an access device as a single device. One among the two or more ICCs coupled together may read data from the remaining ICCs and provide the data to an access device via contactless communication. The ICC may include a substrate; an integrated circuit embedded in the substrate; input ports exposed on a first surface of the substrate, and output ports exposed on a second surface of the substrate. The input ports and the output ports are electrically coupled to the integrated circuit. The output ports are configured to be removably coupled to the input ports of a second ICC.
Batteryless payment device with wirelessly powered token provisioning
A batteryless payment device is disclosed. According to certain embodiments, the batteryless payment device may include a first communication system and a second communication system, the second communication system being a near-field-communication (NFC) system. The batteryless payment device may also include a power receiver coupled to the first communication system and configured to wirelessly receive power from an external device for powering the first communication system. The batteryless payment device may further include a controller configured to: when the first communication system is powered, establish, via the first communication system, a first wireless connection with a user device; receive, through the first wireless communication, a token from the user device; establish, via the second communication system, a second wireless connection with a payment terminal; and transmit, through the second wireless connection, the token to the payment terminal.
Payment Method, Payer Terminal, and Payee Terminal
A payment method, a payer terminal, and a payee terminal are provided. The method includes receiving a transaction request from a payee terminal that includes a payment amount and determining whether an electronic cash application has a balance that is sufficient to cover the payment amount. If the balance is not sufficient, determining whether there are at least two electronic cash applications, a sum of whose balances are greater than or equal to the payment amount. If the balances are sufficient, selecting a group of electronic cash applications, a sum of whose balances are greater than or equal to the payment amount, performing deduction from a balance of each selected electronic cash application until a sum of the deduction is equal to the payment amount; and sending account number and corresponding deduction data of each of the selected electronic cash applications and transaction identifications to the payee terminal.
Medium for temporary account access
In some implementations, a physical medium may include a radio frequency (RF) component and an integrated circuit (IC) chip component. The physical medium may be configured to detect, via the RF component, that the physical medium is within a communicative proximity of a first user device or a first medium associated with a first account. The physical medium may communicate, via the RF component, with the first user device or the first medium based on detecting that the physical medium is within the communicative proximity of the first user device or the first medium. The physical medium may configure the IC chip component to indicate that the physical medium is paired with the first account. The physical medium may transmit, via the RF component or the IC chip component and to a terminal, an indication that the physical medium is paired with the first account.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR COMMUNICATION BETWEEN A CHIP CARD READER AND AN EXTERNAL DEVICE
The invention relates to a method for performing a transaction with a system (1, 1A, 1B, 10) comprising a terminal (2) and a chip device (3), said system being configured to communicate to a user (6), during said transaction, transaction information from the terminal via an adapter (4), said adapter being configured to receive, by wire or wirelessly, said information (5) and to translate it into voice or another form, said information being obtained or collected in or via said chip device (3), characterized in that said chip device (3) is configured with a first communication interface with proximity radiofrequency or electrical (M3) contacts included in the device in order to receive the transaction information directly from a communication interface of the terminal. The invention also relates to the corresponding system.

CARD PROCESSING AND ATTACHING SYSTEM
The invention is a modular card processing and attaching system configured to provide uninterrupted workflow in the feeding and subsequent attaching of cards to carriers for the formation of a mailpiece. The modular card processing and attaching system is further configured to be incorporated into a production mail inserter system, such that attached card and carrier mailpieces may be subsequently sorted and/or inserted into a mailable envelope or packages to be mailed.
Dongles and method for providing a digital signature
Set of two or more dongles for providing a digital signature, wherein each dongle holds a secret key, wherein each dongle is configured to receive a message, to compute a digital signature of the received message using the secret key, and to transmit the computed digital signature, wherein at least one of the dongles is configured to, before computing the digital signature, verify the presence of at least one other dongle belonging to the set, and to compute the digital signature only upon successful verification of the presence of one or more other dongles.
DEVICES AND SYSTEMS FOR DETECTING UNAUTHORIZED COMMUNICATION OF DATA FROM A MAGNETIC STRIPE DEVICE OR EMBEDDED SMART CHIP DEVICE
Disclosed are devices, systems and the like for determining unauthorized communication of data from a card device equipped with a magnetic stripe and/or smart chip. The card device is able to count by recording the number of instances in which the card device has either been swiped at a magnetic card reader or communicated data via an embedded Integrated Circuit (IC). In specific embodiments, the device is further configured to differentiate between authorized swipes/data communications and unauthorized data communications.
