A system for monitoring event related data including a sensor data analyzer, an event analyzer and an actuator is disclosed. The sensor data analyzer detects events based on sensor data, the event analyzer couples to the sensor data analyzer and estimates the size of the detected entire events based on event related data of the detected events from the sensor data analyzer, and the actuator couples to the sensor data analyzer and the event analyzer and actuates a predetermined device based on the estimated size of the detected entire events.

In one aspect, a system includes a virtual reality headset, a plurality of cameras, a plurality of sensors that includes a first sensor, a control unit, wherein the control unit includes a network interface, a processor, a storage device that includes instructions to perform operations that comprise receiving data from the first sensor that is indicative of an alarm event, determining a location of the first sensor, identifying a set of one or more cameras from the plurality of cameras that are associated with the first sensor, selecting a particular camera from the identified set of one or more cameras; and transmitting one or more instructions to the particular camera that command the particular camera to stream a live video feed to a user interface of the virtual reality headset.

Security guards at big facilities, such as airports, monitor multiple screens that display images from individual surveillance cameras dispersed throughout the facility. If a guard zooms with a particular camera, he will lose image resolution, along with perspective on the surrounding area. Embodiments of the inventive Imaging System for Immersive Surveillance (ISIS) solve these problems by combining multiple cameras in one device. When properly mounted, example ISIS systems offer 360-degree, 100-megapixel views on a single screen. (Other resolutions may also be employed.) Image-stitching software merges multiple video feeds into one scene. The system also allows operators to tag and follow targets, and can monitor restricted areas and sound an alert when intruders breach them.

A television based alarm system provides video streams from multiple cameras produced at a first location that is transmitted via a radio transmitter to a secondary location. Motion detector signals from a plurality of motion detectors at the first location are utilized to indicate when and which cameras are likely to see an intruder based on when and which motion detectors are tripped. In a first type of encoder/decoder, motion detectors are connected to LEDS for encoding and then decoded utilizing photo electric cells. In another encoder/decoder, motion detector signals are used to produce a digital word that is added to the video signal and then decoded as a digital word. An output device such as a printer can be used to print the motion detector number, date, and time print out and sound an alarm.

Intercom systems and methods for image data transmission are provided. The intercom system may include a first intercom including a first image acquisition device, one or more second image acquisition devices, and a second intercom. During an intercom with the second intercom, the first intercom may receive a request for target image data captured by one or more target image acquisition devices of the first image acquisition device and the one or more second image acquisition devices from the second intercom. The one or more target image acquisition devices may include at least one target second image acquisition device of the one or more second image acquisition devices. In response to the request, the first intercom may obtain the target image data from the one or more target image acquisition devices. The first intercom may also send a signal encoding the target image data to the second intercom for display.

Provided is an apparatus including a receiving unit for receiving an image captured by a monitoring camera; a determination unit for determining, based on the image that was received, the presence or absence of an occurrence of an event that interferes with monitoring by means of the monitoring camera; and a notification unit for notifying an administrator of the monitoring camera that the presence of the occurrence of the event has been determined, in response to the determination.
