System and Method for Presence and Pulse Detection from Wireless Signals

Systems and methods for detecting and monitoring human breathing, respiration, and heart rate using statistics about the wireless channel between two or more connected devices. A user is monitored for identifying patterns in the user's behavior that may allow the system to alert a caregiver to deviations in the user behavior that may be indicative of a potential issue, such as depression. A presence may further detected in a sensing area through the detection of spectral components in the breathing frequency range of comprises user includes transforming phase difference between spatial streams and amplitude of the samples representing frequency response of the channel for any frequency value into frequency domain to perform frequency analysis. Statistical analysis may be performed on the frequency space provided by the transformation. Micro motions may also be detected by detecting presence in a sensing area through the detection of spectral components in the micro motion frequency range.

CONTROL DEVICE, NETWORK, METHOD AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR CONTROLLING A PRESENCE DETECTION USING RADIO FREQUENCY SENSING IN A NETWORK

The invention relates to a control device for controlling radio frequency sensing in a network (100), e.g. Zigbee or Wi-Fi network, comprising a detection area (120). The control device (110) comprises a neighboring network information providing unit (111), wherein the neighboring network (150) comprises a neighbor network device (154) neighboring a network device of the network (100), and a network controlling unit (112) for controlling a network device (103) based on the provided neighboring network information such that the network device of the network is enabled to detect a signal usable for radio frequency sensing in a detection area (170) extending outside of the detection area of the network (100) and/or for radio frequency sensing in the detection area of the network (100), wherein the detected signal is transmitted by at least one neighbor network device. This allows to improve the radio frequency detection in peripheral areas of a network.

Described is a security sensor comprising two or more sub-sensors for use in a variety of installations where different magnetic fields may be experienced by the security sensor as a result of the variety of installations. One of the sub-sensors may have a low magnetic sensitivity while the other sub-sensor may have a much higher sensitivity to magnetic fields. In operation, one or both sub-sensors are used to determine if a door or a window has been opened.

Intrusion detection system for a vehicle and associated vehicle and method

An intrusion detection system for a vehicle includes a radar sensor, a calculator, and an alarm system adapted to generate an alarm, the radar sensor being adapted to detect the presence of a body within the vehicle, the calculator being adapted to categorize each detected body as either a “human” category or an “other” category and to trigger the alarm system only when at least one of the detected body(ies) is categorized as “human”. Also included is an associated vehicle and method.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING SECURITY TO A VEHICLE

The systems and methods disclosed herein are configured to provide security to a vehicle. A system includes a point measurement device inside a space of a vehicle. The system identifies a threat if points that differ from a calibrated set of points are localized in an area of the space.

Sensor Arrangement

Disclosures relate to a sensor system and arrangements having different sized removable spacers. The spacers may be mixed and matched as needed or desired to compensate for misalignment conditions. Further, different spacer combinations and adjustments may be guided by a security management computing device. Variations in configurations of mounting surfaces, such as door and window assemblies, may be accommodated. Alignment of a transmitter or a receiving device, e.g., a magnetic device, with respect to a transmitter or receiving device despite misalignment of the components due to, for example, uneven surfaces of a door or a window, or a respective frame may be achieved.

Proximity detection using device-to-device communication links

Techniques for performing high-precision presence detection by establishing and monitoring peer-to-peer communication links between user devices residing in a same physical environment. A user device that resides in the environment may establish communication links with multiple other user devices residing in the environment. The user device may monitor the channel properties for those communication links to detect fluctuations in the channel properties caused by a user moving through a signal of the communication links. In examples where the user device detects fluctuations in channel properties for multiple communication links, the user device may determine that the user had moved though signals of the communication links. The user device may determine that, because the user moved through signals of multiple communication links, the user may be in close proximity to the user device, such as in the same room. Thus, the user device monitors multiple communication links to perform presence-detection techniques.
