SECURITY SYSTEM, METHOD OF EMITTING AN ALARM SIGNAL, BUS, USE OF A SECURITY SYSTEM
The invention relates to a security system designed to recognise, by means of the presence and/or content of a status enquiry signal of at least one security unit, whether or not at least one security unit is located inside the security zone. The security system includes an alarm generating unit which is designed to generate an alarm signal if it has been recognised that the at least one security unit is located outside the security zone. The invention further relates to a method for emitting an alarm signal, a bus with a security system and a use of a security system.
Monitoring objects capable of wireless communications
A method of monitoring objects capable of wireless communications is provided. The method comprises detecting an activity performed by a user of a wireless communications device, acquiring information identifying an expected set of objects which are associated with the detected activity, determining whether at least one of the objects in the expected set is not in proximity of the wireless communications device, and if so notifying the user that at least one of the objects in the expected set is not in proximity of the wireless communications device.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR FACILITATING SUPERVISION OF INDIVIDUALS BASED ON GEOFENCING
Disclosed herein is a method for facilitating supervision of individuals based on geofencing. Accordingly, the method may include receiving, using a communication device, a parameter from a supervisor device associated with a supervisor and a geographical location from the supervisor device. Further, the method may include analyzing, using a processing device, the geographical location based on a security parameter and generating a geofence corresponding to a geographical area based on the analyzing. Further, the method may include receiving, using the communication device, supervisee data associated with a supervisee from a supervisee device, including supervisee emergency input or nearby audio and video sensor data. Further, the method may include analyzing, using the processing device, the supervisee data based on the geofence and generating a supervision notification based on the analyzing of the supervisee data. Further, the method may include transmitting, using the communication device, the supervision notification to the supervisor device.
Private wireless network communications systems, methods and devices
An embodiment of a minder device includes a selector and a transceiver. The selector is configurable in one of multiple configurations each corresponding to a respective one of multiple responses. And the transceiver is configured to receive, from a host server via a cellular network, a message from a monitor device associated with the minder device, and to send, to the monitor device via a cellular network and the host server, the one of the responses corresponding to the one of the configurations in which the selector is configured. For example, such a device can be a less-expensive alternative to, and can allow more monitor control, than a smart phone. Furthermore, such a device can be suitable for tracking and locating children too young to have a smart phone, for tracking and locating pets, and for tracking and locating objects.
Object monitoring system
An object monitoring system including a plurality of location beacons, each location beacon being configured to generate a location broadcast message indicative of a beacon location and a tag associated with a respective object in use. The includes a tag memory configured to store object rules, a tag transceiver configured to transmit or receive messages and a tag processing device configured to determine context data at least partially indicative of a tag context by at least one of determining a tag location in accordance with at least one location broadcast message received via the tag transceiver from at least one of a plurality of location beacons and using stored context data, use the object rules and the context data to identify a trigger event, determine an action associated with the trigger event and cause the action to be performed.
Proximity separation alert system
A system for alerting a user when a preset distance between any of a plurality of wireless transceiver devices or a secondary client device such as a smartphone is achieved. Each of the wireless transceiver devices are pairable to each other and to the secondary client device. Each of the wireless transceiver devices may be placed on or worn by a person or object to be tracked. Once a preset distance is achieved between any of the wireless transceiver devices or between any of the wireless transceiver devices and the secondary client device, each of the wireless transceiver devices is configured to alert the user that the preset distance was breached. The system may employ a software application for coordinating the system and tracking separation and other related data collected by each of the wireless transceiver devices.
DETERMINING RESPONDER CLOSEST TO DOWNED RESPONDER
A monitoring unit for wireless communication with a plurality of self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) units configured to form a network is provided. The monitoring unit includes a communication interface and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to receive, via the communication interface, a plurality of updates from each of the SCBA units where each update includes information indicating at least one communication link quality to at least one other SCBA unit. The processing circuitry is further configured to determine at least one distance from each SCBA unit to at least one other SCBA unit that is one hop away in the network based at least in part on the communication link quality. The processing circuitry is further configured to cause the determined at least one distance to be displayed.
Release monitoring through check-in and tethering system
A check-in and tethering system for monitoring persons such as released in court-ordered supervised programs and a method for operating such a system is disclosed. The system includes a tethered mobile device that provides a check-in procedure that requires a response from a user of the tethered mobile device in the form of at least one of a device identifier from a monitored tethered device attached to the user, a biometric response, or a performed action by the user. The tethered mobile device determines whether the response is valid and transmits a notification to a monitoring center in response to the determination.
