WEARABLE ALARM SYSTEM INCORPORATING PHASED-ARRAY RADAR WATER SENSING
20170294094 · 2017-10-12 ·

A safety system comprised of safety devices each worn by a caretaker and up to three people requiring minding, that alerts using color coded LED lights and audible tones when a monitored person is in danger. The device alerts if the person is beyond a preset distance, is close to or is in a body of water, or signals they are in trouble, using phased-array radar coupled with image processing.

The phased-array radar allows the remote sensing of water in either daylight or night. The phased-array radar comprises multiple antenna elements including an independent antenna element phase shifter allowing beamsteering. The device scans an object using a preset beamsteering algorithm independent of movement. The multiple antenna elements and beamsteering improve image data accuracy which is then interpreted and correlated with a body of water characteristics. The phased-array radar is also used for caretaker-monitored person communications.

Telemetry monitoring apparatus

There is disclosed a telemetry monitoring apparatus for remotely monitoring a plurality of users, such as firefighters, working in a hazardous environment. The apparatus comprises a plurality of portable devices, each arranged to be associated with breathing apparatus worn by a user, and at least one central monitoring station onto which portable devices can be logged on and monitored. The portable devices are arranged to transmit a logon message including an identifier identifying either the user or the portable device.

WEARABLE DEVICE FOR A CHILD TO COMMUNICATE WITH PARENTS AND FRIENDS
20170230794 · 2017-08-10 ·

A system enabling children for communicating with parent and friend through a wearable device is enclosed. The system includes a memory unit and a processor that executes a set of modules that includes an information exchange module 304, a digit code generation module 306, and a voice message transfer module 308. The information exchange module 304 exchanges and transfers information between the first child wearable device 104 and the second child wearable device 114 when the first child 102 chooses to add the second child 116 within a close proximity, to a contact list of the first child wearable device 104. The digit code generation module 310 generates a random digit code when the first child 102 chooses to add the second child 116 in a remote location, to the contact list of the first child wearable device 104.

Proximity awareness personal alert system

A system that provides an alarm or alert system for those that cannot communicate, or to notify another party when in a situation that needs immediate attention. It consists of a caregiver band, and at least one dependent band. The dependent bands have an infant size as well. The caregiver band has a transceiver that communicates with the dependent bands. The dependent band has a transceiver as well. The infant band has only a receiver. The caregiver and dependent bands each have a debossed button that when depressed sends a signal to the dependent band(s). This signal has a loud alarm, a flashing LED light and a vibration. To turn off the alarm, the caregiver can press the debossed button a second time, or, as sensor in the bands will shut off the alarm when the bands touch. In one model, an app for use with smartphones is also available.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for securing property are presented. A premise security system may be placed in a learning mode. Changes in position of a security sensor may be detected and used to set a permitted range of motion for the sensor. Further, a plurality of security sensor profiles may be stored, and each profile may identify a different predefined permitted range of motion of a sensor. The addition of a new sensor to a premise may be detected, and a user may be prompted, on a display, to identify a profile to be used to configure the new sensor.

Methods, systems, and apparatuses for securing property are presented. Video content viewed by a user may be detected, and the user may be automatically prompted to change settings on a security system based on the detecting. A comparison of the current time with the duration of the video content may serve as the basis for such prompting. Additionally, a premise security system may be placed in a learning mode. Forgetting-to-carry prevention assistance method, terminal device, and forgetting-to-carry prevention assistance system

A forgetting-to-carry prevention assistance method assists, in a terminal device, a user in preventing forgetting to carry a personal item. The forgetting-to-carry prevention assistance method includes acquiring a destination for the user; detecting the personal item that exists around the user; and in a case where the personal item associated with a category of the destination is not detected, notifying information on the personal item that is not detected.

SECURITY TAG AND BASE STATION FOR DISPLAY

A wireless, proximity-based security system for securing or tracking a valuable object. The system includes a base station and a plurality of security fobs. The security fobs are tracked via an ultra-wideband transceiver relative to an outer perimeter. An administrator fob pairs each of the security fobs with the base station. An audible alarm emits from base and/or the fobs when the location of the security fob is detected to be beyond the outer perimeter. A haptic alarm emits from fob when the location of the security fob is detected to be beyond a sub-perimeter.
