CHILD VEHICLE OCCUPANCY WARNING SYSTEM
A child vehicle occupancy warning system includes comprising a pressure sensor for detecting a weight being positioned on a child car seat. A transmitter is electrically coupled to the pressure sensor. A key fob includes a fob housing, a fob processor, and a fob transceiver. A base unit is positioned on a dashboard of a vehicle and includes a base housing, a base processor mounted in the base housing and a base transceiver for receiving wireless signals from the transmitter and sending and receiving signals with the fob transceiver. The base processor determines when the fob transceiver is beyond a predetermined distance from the base unit. A warning light emitter is electrically coupled to the base transceiver. The base processor turns on the warning light emitter when a weight detection signal is received by the base transceiver and the fob transceiver is beyond the predetermined distance.
Infrared laser system
Laser systems are provided with a semiconductor laser having an emission face, a drive circuit adapted to supply electric energy to the semiconductor laser to cause the semiconductor laser to emit a beam; a user input system adapted to sense a user input action; a controller adapted to control the drive circuit based upon the sensed user input action; a housing within which the laser is positioned and having an opening with a window through which the semiconductor laser can emit the beam. The semiconductor laser is positioned to emit the beam through the window and the emission face of the semiconductor laser is sized to cause a divergence in the beam to create a patterned emission with a predetermined shape without passing the beam through beam shaping optics.
SECURITY SYSTEM, METHOD OF EMITTING AN ALARM SIGNAL, BUS, USE OF A SECURITY SYSTEM
The invention relates to a security system designed to recognise, by means of the presence and/or content of a status enquiry signal of at least one security unit, whether or not at least one security unit is located inside the security zone. The security system includes an alarm generating unit which is designed to generate an alarm signal if it has been recognised that the at least one security unit is located outside the security zone. The invention further relates to a method for emitting an alarm signal, a bus with a security system and a use of a security system.
Safe zones in tracking device environments
A tracking system determines if a tracking device is located within a safe zone based on whether a set of safe conditions are satisfied. The set of safe conditions includes a geographic boundary or a geographic location and corresponding threshold distance. The set of safe conditions can also include a time window during which a safe zone is active. When a tracking device is within a safe zone (e.g., geographically and temporally), the tracking device is determined to be safe, and notifications associated with the tracking device can be minimized. The safe zones may be user-selected, user-defined, or determined based on data analytics. If a set of safe conditions are not satisfied, the tracking system generates and sends a notification to the user of the tracking device indicating that the tracking device may be lost.

DETERMINATION OF CAUSE OF DISCONNECTION OF SENSORS OF A MOTION TRACKING SYSTEM
A method for determining cause of a disconnection between a computing device of a motion tracking system and one or more sensors of the system, the sensors arranged on a person's body, the computing device configured to at least receive data through a wireless communications connection. Each sensor is configured to at least transmit data through the connection. The method includes measuring a signal strength of the connection with each sensor while the communications are established; processing signal strength values corresponding to a sensor when it has been disconnected from the computing device to determine if the sensor has been disconnected due to a distance increase between the person and computing device; and providing or commanding the provision of at least one user perceptible signal when the computing device has determined that at least one sensor has been disconnected due to a distance increase between the person and computing device.
Monitoring and signaling system and related method to prevent the abandonment of infants and/or pets in vehicles
A monitoring and signaling system is provided that may include at least one safety device for a vehicle which can be coupled to a seat for infants or to an item for the boot for pets or to a pet collar, configured to generate an output signal indicative of the presence of an infant or a pet on the seat or in the boot or of the fact that the pet wears the collar. The system may further include a first signaling device configured to emit first signals in sequence when the output signal indicates the presence of the infant or of the pet in the vehicle; and a second signaling device configured to emit second signals in sequence when coupled to the vehicle. The system may further include a mobile device configured to: receive pairs of signals each formed by a first and a second signal, make determinations based thereon, and generate, based on the detection, different monitoring signals.
