Tracking Tags
An apparatus, method and computer program is described including: detecting a tracking tag in proximity of a user device (the tracking tag not being pre-associated with the user device); responsive to the detection (and while the tracking tag remains in proximity of the user device): identifying one or more contextual parameters associated with the tracking tag; and responsive to determining that the identified one or more contextual parameters meet a predetermined criterion or criteria, issuing or causing issuance of an alert to the user device and/or to the tracking tag.
MACHINE COORDINATION AND MANAGEMENT OF UNITING A MINOR WITH A GUARDIAN
Technologies and implementations for machine coordination and management of pickup of a minor with a guardian. The machine coordination and management may be facilitated by a child pickup module (CPM).
Systems and methods for protecting retail display merchandise from theft
Security systems and methods for protecting retail display merchandise from theft are provided. For example, a security system includes a sensor configured to removably engage an input port of an item of merchandise, and a monitoring component configured to wirelessly communicate with the sensor and to removably support the sensor thereon, wherein the monitoring component and the sensor are configured to communicate with one another to determine a proximity of the item of merchandise relative to the monitoring component, wherein the monitoring component and/or the sensor is configured to initiate a security signal when the proximity between the monitoring component and the sensor is not within a predetermined range, and wherein the monitoring component and/or the sensor is configured to initiate a security signal in response to the sensor being removed from the input port of the item of merchandise.
WIRELESS MAT FOR FIREARMS AND VALUABLES AND METHOD OF ALERTING A USER
A system for alerting a user to unauthorized movement of an object has a mat that is embedded with a first wireless transceiver (e.g., NFC transceiver) and a second wireless transceiver (e.g., Wi-Fi® transceiver). An object, such as a firearm, has a wireless tag (e.g., NFC tag) coupled thereto for communication with the first wireless transceiver of the mat. When the object is moved, the first wireless transceiver loses connection with the wireless tag. When communication is lost, the second wireless transceiver transmits an alert to a user that the object has been moved.
Tracking safety conditions of an area
Apparatus for electronically quantifying conditions of a person and an environment containing the person, as well as a sequence of positions occupied by the person and a direction the person faced at those positions. Wireless communications track a series of positions over time and provide user interfaces indicating where a person has been and who the person has come within a minimum distance of. Sensors may be operative to provide ongoing evaluation of a condition of the person, such as a body temperature and heartrate which may trigger an alarm state if the body temperature rises above a specified value. Electronic sensors may also be quantify environmental conditions over time and present the conditions in the user interface.
SECURITY SYSTEM, METHOD OF EMITTING AN ALARM SIGNAL, BUS, USE OF A SECURITY SYSTEM
The invention relates to a security system designed to recognise, by means of the presence and/or content of a status enquiry signal of at least one security unit, whether or not at least one security unit is located inside the security zone. The security system includes an alarm generating unit which is designed to generate an alarm signal if it has been recognised that the at least one security unit is located outside the security zone. The invention further relates to a method for emitting an alarm signal, a bus with a security system and a use of a security system.
Beacon enabled distribution items
Systems and methods of tracking distribution items using hardware components on or in the distribution items. Shippers and recipients of distribution items can track or locate a distribution item, especially a high value item, if the distribution item is lost, misrouted, or delayed.
Object monitoring system
An object monitoring system including a plurality of location beacons, each location beacon being configured to generate a location broadcast message indicative of a beacon location and a tag associated with a respective object in use. The includes a tag memory configured to store object rules, a tag transceiver configured to transmit or receive messages and a tag processing device configured to determine context data at least partially indicative of a tag context by at least one of determining a tag location in accordance with at least one location broadcast message received via the tag transceiver from at least one of a plurality of location beacons and using stored context data, use the object rules and the context data to identify a trigger event, determine an action associated with the trigger event and cause the action to be performed.
Comprehensive system and method of universal real-time linking of real objects to a machine, network, internet, or software service
A system for detecting placement or misplacement of an object includes a wireless tag; a first electronic device (“FED”) associated with the tag to automatically detect signals from the tag, determine a position of the FED, transmit the position and status to an external electronic device or network (“EED”) in response to the status indicating that the tag and the FED are within a predetermined range, and transmit the position and status to the EED in response to the status indicating that the tag and the FED are outside of the predetermined range; and a second electronic device (“SED”) that is unassociated with the tag to automatically detect signals from the tag, determine a position of the SED, determine an identifier for the tag using the signals, and transmit the position of the SED and the identifier to the EED.
ALERTING SYSTEM
A cargo alerting system that is self-arming. Placing a child in a car seat having sensors arms the system. A keyfob, or smartphone, which is carried by the user, outputs an alarm when the keyfob is moved farther than a pre-determined distance from the base, which may be in the car seat, or otherwise connected to a child in the vehicle. This preset distance could be any desired distance. The keyfob and alarm refocus the user's attention on the cargo within the vehicle.
