SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AT-HOME MONITORING OF AN INDIVIDUAL
In one embodiment, a sensor unit includes an outer housing including a top plate and a base member that together define an interior space, the top plate being configured to directly receive and support the leg of the piece of furniture, a load cell provided within the interior space configured to measure forces imposed by the leg on the top plate, the load cell including a planar metal plate having a deformable element to which the top plate is mounted and a sensor element mounted to the planar metal plate at a location at which the deformable element extends from the remainder of the planar metal plate, and an internal platform provided within the interior space and associated with the base member that supports the planar metal plate of the load cell in a manner in which the deformable element of the planar metal plate is free to deform when a force is imposed by the leg on the top plate.
PRESSURE SENSING MAT WITH VENT HOLES
A pressure sensing mat having first and second conductive layers and an insulative layer. The first conductive layer defines a first aperture and includes first spaced apart conductive regions and first non-conductive regions therebetween. The first spaced apart conductive regions and non-conductive regions extends in a first direction. The second conductive layer defines a second aperture and includes second spaced apart conductive regions and second non-conductive regions therebetween. The second spaced apart conductive regions and the second non-conductive regions extend in a second direction different than the first direction. The insulative layer is between the first and second conductive layers and defines a third aperture. The first, second, and third apertures are aligned with each other such that the first, second, and third apertures form a vent through the first and second conductive layers and the insulative layer.
Mesh network personal emergency response appliance
A monitoring system a user activity sensor to determine patterns of activity based upon the user activity occurring over time.
Falls risk management
Automatically gathering and processing data relating to risk of patient falls. The data is analyzed to determine a level of risk each patient has for falling. Patient risk for falls is stratified and protocols are implemented to mitigate that risk. The system communicates instructions and alerts to caregivers to complete tasks or provide aid to patients. Updates to patient medical information and updates to best practices in fall risk management result in updates to patient risk stratifications. In turn, tasks and alerts are updated to reflect updates to patient risk stratifications.
Abnormality notification system, abnormality notification method, and program
A biological signal of a subject is acquired so as to calculate biological information from the acquired biological signal. When the biological information has been determined to be anomaly, whether the biological information is one that was calculated under a high-accuracy condition is determined. When the biological information is determined to be one that was calculated under the high-accuracy condition, a notice is given based on a first criterion. In the other cases, a notice is given based on a second criterion. Thereby, it is possible to provide an abnormality notification system that can give a necessary notification appropriately while suppressing unnecessary notification, by changing the criteria for notification in accordance with the accuracy of the determined biological information when the biological information of the subject was determined to be anomaly.
Abnormality determination apparatus and non-transitory computer readable medium storing program
One aspect of the apparatus comprising, a sensor configured to acquire a biological signal of a user, and a controller configured to, determine whether the biological signal is continuously outside a predetermined range for a first time period, after determining that the biological signal has been continuously outside the predetermined range for the first time period, then determine whether the biological signal is inside the predetermined range, and activate an alarm if the controller has determined that (i) the biological signal has been outside the predetermined range for the first time period, and (ii) the biological signal has been continuously inside the predetermined range for a second time period, the second time period being longer than the first time period.
Smart height safety system
Apparatus and associated methods relate to a smart hook, a safety harness module, and associated electronic components that detect a safety state of a user by monitoring various parameters at the smart hook and safety harness module and determining whether the user is using proper safety protocol at extreme heights and/or whether the user has experienced a height-related accident. In an illustrative example, the user may don a safety harness that may include a module that contains sensors that monitor an acceleration/velocity/position of the user and/or ambient air pressure around the user. The module may receive wireless signals from at least one rebar hook having sensors that monitor the acceleration/velocity/position and gate position of the rebar hooks. A controller included with the safety harness module may use these sensors to advantageously determine the safety state of the user and generate alert/warning signals.
Laser monitoring system
A laser monitoring system designed to prevent accidental falls of people who are at high risk of falling when they try to get up from a chair, commode, or bed. The system includes a first unit providing a circuit board, a laser emitting device, an alignment indicator, a control button, a communicator, an alarm speaker, an electrical port, and an electrical housing that retains all of the above. The system also includes a second unit providing a circuit board, a laser receiving device, an alignment indicator, and receiver which are all retained inside of an electrical housing. The first unit and second unit form a laser net alarm system that when interrupted provides an audible alarm requesting that the patient wait for medical attention, while at the same time may notify the care giver that their patient is trying to get up unassisted by sending an electronic message to the care giver's electronic device.
Patient support apparatus with automatic exit detection modes of operation
A patient support apparatus, such as a bed, cot, stretcher, etc., for supporting a patient includes an exit detection system with multiple user-selectable modes of operation that each have different sensitivity levels for triggering an exit alert. The exit detection system also includes one or more non-user selectable modes of operation that are automatically implemented in response to a triggering action. For example, a transition mode may be automatically implemented when the user attempts to switch from a first user-selectable mode to a different user selectable mode, or a motion mode may be automatically implemented when movement of one or more components of the patient support apparatus occurs. In the transition mode, the exit detection system may use a least restrictive sensitivity level. In the motion mode, the exit detection system may inhibit exit alerts and/or change the criteria for issuing the exit alert.
Monitoring support apparatus and monitoring support method for supporting work of monitoring person who monitors plurality of subjects by sequentially visiting the plurality of subjects
An apparatus includes a measuring device, a position specifying circuit, and a determining circuit. The measuring device measures a plurality of subjects by radiating a detecting wave toward the plurality of subjects. The position specifying circuit specifies positions of the plurality of subjects on a basis of information obtained by the measuring device. The determining circuit determines at least one of: a next subject suitable as a subject to be visited next by a monitoring person among the plurality of subjects; and a movement path along which the monitoring person moves from a position of the monitoring person to the next subject on a basis of the positions of the plurality of subjects specified by the position specifying circuit. A method performs the operations of the measuring device, and the circuits.
