SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO PROVIDE A PORTABLE ALARM
Systems and methods to provide a portable alarm, are disclosed herein. The system may include a top component that includes a connector, a first securing protrusion, and a second securing protrusion that extend out a bottom side of the top component; and a base component that includes a narrow cavity, a first notch, a second notch, and a battery-powered circuit board, the first securing protrusion, the second securing protrusion, and the connector engaging with or otherwise connecting with the first notch, the second notch, and the narrow cavity, respectively, to provide secure contact between the top component and the base component, the narrow cavity is linked to the battery-powered circuit board so that responsive to the connector being disengaged from the narrow cavity, an alarm is activated and responsive to the connector being engaged with the narrow cavity, the alarm is deactivated.
NOTIFICATION CONTROL DEVICE, NOTIFICATION CONTROL SYSTEM, AND NOTIFICATION CONTROL METHOD
A notification control device includes: a sound notification controller sending a first notification control signal for causing a first device to provide a first notification, obtaining first response information to the first notification, and determining whether the first response information is in response to notification information; an image notification controller sending a second notification control signal for causing a second device to provide a second notification, obtaining second response information to the second notification, and determining whether the second response information is in response to the notification information; and a canceller sending a cancellation process signal for cancelling (a) the second notification when the sound notification controller determines that the first response information is in response to the notification information and (b) the first notification when the image notification controller determines that the second response information is in response to the notification information.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND CONTEXTUAL CUSTOM-BUILT AI-BASED, INTERLAYER NOISE ABATEMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD OF THE SAME
Provided is technology to reduce interlayer noise occurring in a multi-story house such as an apartment, and more particularly, an environmental and contextual custom-built artificial intelligence (AI) based, interlayer noise abatement apparatus that defines a standard of interlayer noise based on a user environment or a user-specified context, allows an interlayer noise maker to recognize when the noise exceeding the above standard occurs and allows the interlayer noise maker to voluntarily reduce the interlayer noise, and a method of the same.
DIALOGUE SYSTEM AND DIALOGUE PROCESSING METHOD
Provided is a dialogue system including: a speech recognizer module configured to convert a speech of a user into a plurality of candidate texts, and prioritize the plurality of candidate texts; a understanding module configured to determine a first action corresponding to a first candidate text with a highest priority among the plurality of candidate texts; and a controller configured to attempt to perform the determined first action, and when the first action is not performable, reprioritize other candidate texts of the plurality of candidate texts.
PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICES WITH AN EMERGENCY MODE FOR LOCATING SURVIVORS IN DISASTERS
An emergency mode is provided in a portable electronic device for locating a survivor in a disaster. The device includes a wireless antenna to transmit and receive wireless signals; a memory to store one or more identifiers; a user interface to receive a command that enables the emergency mode. The device also includes one or more processors, which, in response to the command, detect via the wireless receiver a predetermined identifier that matches a stored identifier identifying a sender of the predetermined identifier as a trusted node. When the predetermined identifier and a timing measurement frame are received from the trusted node, the device sends a response to the trusted node to indicate its presence.
Method and apparatus for selectively configuring alarms prior to commencing silent mode of operation
A method, apparatus and computer program product are provided to selectively configure alarms prior to commencement of a silent mode of operation. In the context of a method, an indication of at least a start time for a silent mode of operation of a device is received. Responsive to the indication of at least the start time for the silent mode of operation, one or more alarms are identified. Each alarm has an activation mode and an activation time during the silent mode of operation of the device. Responsive to identifying one or more alarms and prior to commencing the silent mode of operation, the method also causes a prompt to be presented regarding a potential change to at least one of the activation mode or the activation time for at least one alarm that was identified.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A DISCRETE WORKSPACE
This application describes systems and methods for locating, securing, accessing and utilizing a discrete enclosure or workspace. The discrete enclosure or workspace may be located in a public, private or semi-private setting and may comprise a combination of working platforms or surfaces, seats, desks and other apparatus, as well as computer hardware and software. Systems may comprise natural language processing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and other adaptive learning capabilities to enhance the use of the discrete workspace. The workspace may be dimensioned to be used for a wide variety of activities by one or more users.
Smart doorbell system and chime circuit
A smart doorbell system includes a doorbell switch, an input device, a chime circuit, and a ring circuit. A chime circuit includes a power connection terminal and a first rectifier circuit and a second rectifier circuit coupled to the power connection terminal and connected in parallel. The power connection terminal receives an alternating current including a first direction current and a second direction current that alternate. The input device is coupled to the chime circuit and generates a control signal. The control signal controls one of the first and second direction currents to pass through a corresponding one of the first and second rectifier circuits. The doorbell switch is coupled to the chime circuit and the ring circuit. A trigger signal is generated through the other one of the first and second direction currents when the doorbell switch is pressed, such that the ring circuit produces a ringing sound.
