Distributed healthcare communication method
A graphical audio station of a nurse call system is operable to permit a user to perform one or more of the following functions: establish a two-way voice communication link with another computer device in another patient and/or with a another computer device located in another staff work area and/or with a wireless communication device carried by caregiver and/or with a telephone of the healthcare facility; broadcast a voice page to a group of other selected computer devices; compose and send a text message to a portable device that is carried by a caregiver and that has wireless communication capability; browse web pages and/or view multimedia content, such as videos, hosted on servers of the healthcare facility and/or that are accessible via the Internet; view and/or acknowledge and/or answer and/or cancel alerts or nurse calls originating in a plurality of patient rooms.
SYSTEM FOR MONITORING, TRACKING AND RECORDING SAFETY CONDITIONS AND STATUS OF SUBJECTS IN A CONFINED AREA
An integrated system for monitoring, tracking and recording activities of daily livings (ADLs) and safety and wellness conditions of subjects within the same or different locations of a confined area, comprising: alert signal generators, each alert signal generators receives signals from corresponding sensors and/or condition selectable switches disposed in where proximal to each of the subjects residing in the confined area for sensing motions, locations, and change in environmental and/or personal conditions of the corresponding subject or alarm signals actively or passively triggered by the subject, and being activated by said signals from the sensors; corresponding pairing devices physically connected to the alert signal generators for pairing with the corresponding alert signal generators to relay corresponding alert signals to a receiving device, and to receive one or more of responses, information, commands, and/or instructions from the receiving device.
Hospital bed having wireless network connectivity
A system that monitors various conditions of a plurality of hospital beds located in different rooms of a healthcare facility is provided. Alternatively or additionally, other types of equipment may be monitored by the system. Various configurations of network interface units that are coupleable to or integrated into a hospital bed are also disclosed. The system receives data from the hospital beds and/or other equipment and initiates a communication to a wireless communication device of at least one designated caregiver in response to the received data being indicative of an alarm condition.
Apparatus, system, and method for motion sensing
Methods and devices provide physiological movement detection, such as gesture, breathing, cardiac and/or gross body motion, with active sound generation such as for an interactive audio device. The processor may evaluate, via a microphone coupled to the interactive audio device, a sensed audible verbal communication. The processor may control producing, via a speaker coupled to the processor, a sound signal in a user's vicinity. The processor may control sensing, via a microphone coupled to the processor, a reflected sound signal. This reflected sound signal is a reflection of the generated sound signal from the vicinity or user. The processor may process the reflected sound, such as by a demodulation technique, to derive a physiological movement signal. The processor may generate, in response to the sensed audible verbal communication, an output based on an evaluation of the derived physiological movement signal.
Monitoring support apparatus and monitoring support method for supporting work of monitoring person who monitors plurality of subjects by sequentially visiting the plurality of subjects
An apparatus includes a measuring device, a position specifying circuit, and a determining circuit. The measuring device measures a plurality of subjects by radiating a detecting wave toward the plurality of subjects. The position specifying circuit specifies positions of the plurality of subjects on a basis of information obtained by the measuring device. The determining circuit determines at least one of: a next subject suitable as a subject to be visited next by a monitoring person among the plurality of subjects; and a movement path along which the monitoring person moves from a position of the monitoring person to the next subject on a basis of the positions of the plurality of subjects specified by the position specifying circuit. A method performs the operations of the measuring device, and the circuits.
ENVIRONMENTAL AND CONTEXTUAL CUSTOM-BUILT AI-BASED, INTERLAYER NOISE ABATEMENT APPARATUS AND METHOD OF THE SAME
Provided is technology to reduce interlayer noise occurring in a multi-story house such as an apartment, and more particularly, an environmental and contextual custom-built artificial intelligence (AI) based, interlayer noise abatement apparatus that defines a standard of interlayer noise based on a user environment or a user-specified context, allows an interlayer noise maker to recognize when the noise exceeding the above standard occurs and allows the interlayer noise maker to voluntarily reduce the interlayer noise, and a method of the same.
DIALOGUE SYSTEM AND DIALOGUE PROCESSING METHOD
Provided is a dialogue system including: a speech recognizer module configured to convert a speech of a user into a plurality of candidate texts, and prioritize the plurality of candidate texts; a understanding module configured to determine a first action corresponding to a first candidate text with a highest priority among the plurality of candidate texts; and a controller configured to attempt to perform the determined first action, and when the first action is not performable, reprioritize other candidate texts of the plurality of candidate texts.
System and method of medical device alarm management
Systems and methods of medical device alarm management include receiving alarm data from a plurality of medical devices. The alarm data includes a plurality of alarms from the plurality of medical devices. A summary of the received alarms from the plurality of medical devices is visually presented. Upon receiving a selection of a medical device of the plurality of medical devices, an identification of each of the alarms from the selected medical device is visually presented. A frequency of each of the alarms from the selected medical device is visually presented.
Sensing Device and Corresponding Apparatus and Method
A sensing device includes a barometric sensor, e.g., MEMS-based, and a processing unit coupled to the barometric sensor to receive therefrom a barometric signal. The processing unit is configured as a state machine having a plurality of states including an initial state and a final state with a set of transitions from the initial state to the final state. The transitions are triggered by the barometric signal reaching one or more triggering thresholds. The processing unit may include an expert system sensitive to state data and altitude data from the state machine for recognizing the final state being reached.
Generating Recommended Maintenance Steps For Industrial Machines Based On Historical Interaction Data With A Mobile Application
A Worker Machine Interaction Intelligence System (WMIIS) can receive performance data describing performance of a first industrial machine, determine, based on the performance data, that at least a first alert condition for the first industrial machine has been triggered, and identify a first designated user to notify about the first alert condition having been triggered by the first industrial machine. The WMIIS can identify a set of recommended maintenance steps to be performed by the first designated user in response to the first alert condition being triggered and transmit, to a client device of the first designated user: an alert message notifying the first designated user that the first alert condition has been triggered by the first industrial machine, and the first set of recommended maintenance steps.
