Apparatus and Method for Formulation and Dispensing of Visually Customized Cosmetics
A system and method determine color of skin of a subject and produce a customized cosmetic based at least in part on the determined color of skin. A region of skin is covered with a chamber having an open area facing the skin. The skin is illuminated with light caused to enter the chamber. The light is caused to be dispersed within the chamber. A camera is used to record an image of a portion of the dispersed light in the chamber and the recorded image is processed to characterize the color of the skin. The recorded image includes a plurality of colors which are mapped to the closest color recipe. The color recipe is used to calculate actuator displacements for a portioning machine that includes a cartridge having cosmetic additives that produce the customized cosmetic.
Color fan deck with removable blades
A fan blade and color display fan deck provide a changeable color display product because the fan deck blades can be added to and removed from the fan deck without opening the fastener to which the fan blades are pivotally attached. Despite being removable from the fan deck, the blades can withstand the normal wear and tear associated with use in a color fan deck such as supporting the weight of the whole fan deck when a user holds an individual fan blade.
Method for harmonizing colors, corresponding computer program and device
A method for harmonizing colors of an original image is disclosed. The method comprises: computing a saliency map of the original image, for each of a plurality of color harmonic schemes: determining a temporary harmonized image from the original image according to the current color harmonic scheme, computing a saliency map of the temporary harmonized image, comparing the saliency map of the original image and the saliency map of the temporary harmonized image, in order to obtain a saliency comparison result, computing a corrected color comparison result from colors of the original image, colors of the current color harmonic scheme and the saliency comparison result, selecting, as the harmonized image, the temporary harmonized image obtained with the color harmonic scheme minimizing the corrected color comparison result.
Sequentially operated modules
Method, modules and a system formed by connecting the modules for controlling payloads are disclosed. An activation signal is propagated in the system from a module to the modules connected to it. Upon receiving an activation signal, the module (after a pre-set or random delay) activates a payload associated with it, and transmits the activation signal (after another pre-set or random delay) to one or more modules connected to it. The system is initiated by a master module including a user activated switch producing the activation signal. The activation signal can be propagated in the system in one direction from the master to the last module, or carried bi-directionally allowing two way propagation, using a module which revert the direction of the activation signal propagation direction. A module may be individually powered by an internal power source such as a battery, or connected to external power source such as AC power. The system may use remote powering wherein few or all of the modules are powered from the same power source connected to the system in a single point. The power may be carried over dedicated wires or concurrently with the conductors carrying the activation signal. The payload may be a visual or an audible signaling device, and can be integrated within a module or external to it. The payload may be powered by a module or using a dedicated power source, and can involve randomness associated with its activation such as the delay, payload control or payload activation.
TRANSMISSION TYPE COLOR CALIBRATION CHART AND CALIBRATION SLIDE GLASS
A transmission type color calibration chart includes a transparent substrate and a color bar group formed on the transparent substrate, wherein the color bar group is constituted by color bars of a plurality of colors containing at least a first color and a second color arranged in a pattern in no particular order, coordinate points of the first color are within a region encompassed by the four points (0.351, 0.649), (0.547, 0.453), (0.380, 0.506) and (0.433, 0.464) on an xy chromaticity diagram, coordinate points of the second color are within a region encompassed by the four points (0.125, 0.489), (0.112, 0.229), (0.270, 0.407) and (0.224, 0.242) on an xy chromaticity diagram, and the transmission spectrum of the first color's color bar and the transmission spectrum of the second color's color bar have peak tops that are respectively separated.

Information processing apparatus and information processing method
Provided are an information processing apparatus and an information processing method that can propose makeup that brings parts constituting a user's face closer to an ideal arrangement. A user's face image is captured, parts of the user's face image are recognized on the basis of the face image, and a best balance face image in which the parts are optimally arranged and have optimum sizes. Makeup on the user's face image is closer to the best balance face image is set, and a recipe image displaying a process of the makeup is generated and displayed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SOCIAL STYLE MAPPING
A system is disclosed that obtains an image of an apparel item and text describing the apparel item. The system also determines descriptive metadata of the apparel item by extracting information from the text. Further, the system further determines categorization metadata of the apparel item by analyzing the image. Additionally, the system stores the image, the descriptive metadata, and the categorization metadata in a virtual closet. Moreover, the system provides a recommendation of an outfit from a stylist to a user based on the virtual closet.
