The second movable polarizing plate is formed with a second display pattern allowing the light to pass through. An actuation mechanism causes a direction of a polarization axis of only one of the first movable polarizing plate and the second movable polarizing plate to be different from a direction of a polarization axis of the stable polarizing plate.

The first and second polarizing plates are arranged at a distance from each other along a path of the light, the first direction in the first polarization region and the first direction in the second polarization region are different from each other. The third polarizing plate is arranged such that the first direction in the third polarization region is positioned between the first direction in the first polarization region and the first direction in the second polarization region.
