Illuminated signs for vehicles, mounting systems therefor and related methods
A self-contained illuminated sign for mounting on a vehicle is disclosed. The sign includes a front panel, a rear panel situated opposite and substantially parallel to the front panel in spaced relation therefrom to define a space therebetween, and a light source comprising a plurality of LEDs. The light source is positioned between the front and rear panels and is configured to emit light that emanates from the front panel. The front panel is thus backlit to display indicia. A system for supporting a self-contained illuminated sign on a vehicle is also disclosed. The system includes the sign and a separate mounting frame mountable on a vehicle. The mounting frame is configured to removably receive the sign and, when the sign is received in the mounting frame, to surround a perimeter of the sign while permitting visibility of the front display area. Related methods are also disclosed.

Designed sign system
A designed sign system 101 including: an image projector 2 for projecting an image constituted of a still image and/or a dynamic video; a projection screen body 1a for displaying recognizably by reflecting a projected image from the image projector 2; and a design part 10 formed into a shape displaying a character, a figure, or a pattern by partially providing on a projection surface side of the projection screen body 1a; wherein the design part 10 has a translucent layer 10a that diffuse reflecting a part of light received on a front surface side and transmits a remaining part, and has an opaque layer 10b that reflects remaining light transmitted on the back surface side. Thus, a designed sign system that can produce luxury feeling and has high designability may be provided.
LIGHT GUIDE PLATE WITH METALLIZED PIXELS FOR LIGHT EXTRACTION IN SOLAR SIGNS
Light guides for solar-powered signs are disclosed. The light guide can include a sheet of at least partially transparent material configured to transmit light. The light guide can include a plurality of light-extraction features formed on a surface of the sheet. Each light-extraction feature of the plurality of light-extraction features can include a reflective mirror layer deposited on a surface of the light-extraction feature. The solar-powered sign can include the light guide, a diffusion film coupled to the light guide, and a solar panel coupled to the light guide that captures light passing through the diffusion film and the light guide.

This planar light source device has a pair of substrates, a pair of irradiation plates disposed between the pair of substrates, and a plurality of light emission devices disposed on one or both of the pair of substrates. In a cross-section of the light emission devices in a direction perpendicular to the irradiation plates through an optical axis, the luminosity of light emitted in a 7.0 direction when 0 is the optical axis direction and the luminosity of light emitted in a (tan1(t/L)) (where t represents the gap between the irradiation plates, and L represents the gap, in a direction along the pair of irradiation plates, from the surface of a light emission device disposed on one of the substrates to an end part of the other-substrate-side irradiation plate) direction or a (tan1(t/2L)) direction satisfy a prescribed relationship.
