A watercraft safety flag assembly comprising a flexible planar visibility-enhancing element having a forward edge and a rear edge spaced from the forward edge by a width, and a rigid planar stiffening element secured to the flexible planar visibility-enhancing element, where the planar stiffening element substantially spans the width of the flexible planar visibility-enhancing element and is configured to provide maximum stiffening proximate the forward edge, minimal stiffening proximate the rear edge, and decreasing stiffening with increasing distance from the forward edge. There is also provided a header element joined to the forward edge of the flexible planar visibility-enhancing element and which forms a cylindrical sleeve for receiving a mast, where the rigid planar stiffening element extends into the cylindrical sleeve formed by the header element.

A maintenance signal flag adapted for use with a shopping cart, the maintenance signal flag comprising a flag member and signal panel hingedly connected to a mounting assembly. The mounting assembly secures the maintenance signal flag to the shopping cart, and flag member pivots between raised and lowered positions to raise the signal panel above the shopping cart. The signal panel displays a maintenance message when raised, indicating the shopping cart is faulty. A user, upon discovering a defect, raises the flag member to create a visual alert which warns other users to avoid the faulty shopping cart and notifies maintenance personnel to service the shopping cart. The maintenance message identifies the specific defect to facilitate efficient inspection. The maintenance signal flag may be retrofitted to existing shopping carts and does not interfere with the ability of the shopping cart to be stacked with other shopping carts.

A flagpole adapter for a gooseneck hitch is provided. The flagpole adapter can include a shank that is configured to insert into the receiver of a gooseneck hitch. The flagpole adapter can also include a tube that extends upwardly from the shank and that is configured to receive a flagpole. The flagpole adapter can further include a flagpole securing assembly for securing a flagpole that is inserted into the tube. Because the flagpole adapter is inserted into the receiver of a gooseneck hitch, flags flown using the flagpole adapter will be positioned centrally within the bed of the truck.

A vehicle whip system includes a base component, a collar component, and a whip component. The base component includes a base housing, a first electrical connector disposed in the base housing, and one or more wires coupled to the first electrical connector and routed through the base housing. The collar component includes a collar housing forming an interior volume configured to receive an upper portion of the base housing and a second electrical connector disposed in the collar housing and configured to electrically couple with the first electrical connector responsive to the collar housing receiving the base housing. The whip component connected to the collar housing. The whip component includes one or more electrical components configured to couple to the one or more wires via the first electrical connector and the second electrical connector.

A safety flag device is provided. In one embodiment, the safety flag device comprises a housing comprising: one or more reversible attachment means for reversibly attaching said housing to an exterior surface of a vehicle; a first switch; and a reversibly extendable pole, the base thereof being coupled to said housing; a rod secured at the tip of the reversibly extendable pole, along a same axis thereof; a flag reversibly attached to the rod; and the housing further comprising therein: a container for housing a portion of a long flexible cable, the long flexible cable passing through the interior of the reversibly extendable pole and being attached to the tip thereof; an electrical motor mechanically coupled to the long flexible cable and operable to, via said first switch, move the long flexible cable up or down so as to extend or retract the reversibly extendable pole.

A warning tag and process of making the warning tag are provided. The warning tag has a substrate layer, a reflective layer laid on top of the substrate layer, and a negatively printed message on the reflective layer. In some embodiments, the reflective layer is covered with non-reflective ink to form the non-reflective ink coating such that a warning indicia message is left exposed while the surrounding area thereto is covered. A process of making such warning tags is also provided.

A signaling device for increasing visibility of a mobile robot. The signaling device comprises a signaling section, a body section, and a base section. The invention also discloses a system for increasing visibility of a mobile robot. The system comprises a mobile robot, a signaling device attached to the mobile robot and a remote terminal configured to at least one of monitoring and controlling at least one of the mobile robot and the signaling device.

There is provided apparatus for securing a vehicle flag device. The apparatus comprises a base comprising a door entrapment protrusion configured for protruding between closing surfaces of a door of a vehicle body in use so as to entrap the protrusion; a surface fastener configured for fastening an underside of the base to the roof of the vehicle body substantially adjacent the door in use; and a flag device secured by the base. In use the door entrapment protrusion is configured so as to substantially prevent the removal of the base from the vehicle while the door is closed; and the surface fastener is configured to secure the base to the vehicle body so as to adequately support the flag device and secure the base to the roof while the vehicle is moving.

A vehicle-mountable child protective device including a housing which is mountable onto a door of a vehicle and including a first housing portion, which is at least partially located within the vehicle when the device is mounted onto the vehicle and during device operation, and a second housing portion, which is at least partially located outside the vehicle when the device is mounted onto the vehicle and during device operation, a flag which is rotatably mounted via a flagpole onto the first housing portion and a flag positioning assembly at least partially within the first housing portion for automatically rotating the flag to a raised position outside of and above the vehicle upon opening of the door of the vehicle.

A roadway hazard warning assembly for enhancing visibility of a disabled vehicle on a roadway includes a vehicle that has been disabled on the side of a roadway. A warning flag is positionable on the vehicle when the vehicle becomes disabled on the roadway. The warning flag has light reflecting properties for reflecting light from headlights of oncoming traffic. In this way the warning flag can alert the oncoming traffic to the disabled vehicle. A plurality of fastening straps is provided and each of the fastening straps is removably coupled between the warning flag and the vehicle for retaining the warning flag on the vehicle.
