Systems and methods for automated association of product information with electronic shelf labels
Systems and methods that employ an autonomous robotic vehicle (ARV) alone or in combination with a remote computing device during the installation of electronic shelf labels (ESLs) in a facility are discussed. The ARV may detect pre-existing product information from paper labels located on modular units prior to their removal and then detect the location of electronic shelf labels (ESLs) after installation. Pre-existing product information gleaned from the paper labels is associated with the corresponding ESLs. The ARV may also determine compliance or non-compliance of modular units to which an ESL is affixed with a planogram of the facility.
Wearable Badge and Method for Determining a Type of an Identification Card Removably in said Badge
Disclosed is a wearable badge (100) for holding an identification card (200). The badge (100) comprises a card holder (2) configured to removably hold an identification card (200), a first optical sensor (16) configured to measure an optical property of a first region (22) of a surface of the identification card (200) when removably held by the card holder (2), and a processor (20) configured to determine a type of the identification card (200) based on the measured optical property of the first region (22). Furthermore, a system is provided comprising the badge (100) and a set of identification cards (200), wherein at least some of the first regions (22) comprised by the set of identification cards (200) have different optical properties that encode different types of identification cards. Also disclosed is a method of determining a type of an identification card (200).
ELECTRONIC LABEL AND DISPLAY METHOD THEREOF
A display method for an electronic label having a display area is disclosed. The display method includes the following steps. A plurality of visual contents to be displayed are predefined, wherein each of the visual contents has a first state and a second state corresponding to a first state display subpage and a second state display page respectively. The display area is divided into a plurality of first sub-areas for displaying the plurality of first state display subpages respectively. A second sub-area operable for selection of a specific one from the plurality of first state display subpages is provided in each of the first sub-area in response to a first instruction of a user. The display area is caused to display the second state display page corresponding to the specific first state display subpage in response to a second instruction of the user.
ELECTRONIC PRICE LABEL AND A BATTERY UNIT FOR AN ELECTRONIC PRICE LABEL
Battery unit for an electronic price label and an electronic price label, which includes a separate, external, replaceable battery unit having a battery, and a fastening means, which may be detachably fasten the battery unit to the frame part of the electronic price label.
BATTERY-OPERATED ELECTRONIC LABEL
An electronic label with a housing, that comprises a front wall and a rear wall and a side wall, wherein the front wall comprises a, particularly reflective, screen, and wherein by contrast to the front wall and rear wall, the side wall is constructed to be light-conducting and wherein a light source for emitting the light that can be generated using it through the side wall is positioned inside the housing, and wherein the side wall is inclined towards the front wall.
SHELF EDGE PROTECTOR FOR ELECTRONIC SHELF LABELS
The present invention describes a shelf edge protector for an electronic shelf label (“ESL”) to protect the ESL from impact disturbance, displacement, or dislodgement by a shopping cart, restocking cart, a person, or other causes. The protector has an upper and a lower portion, connected by a bend. The protector is made of a clear material and its upper portion attaches with rivets or other attachment mechanisms to the forwardmost region of the top surface of a display shelf. The protector has predrilled holes at 1-inch or ½-inch intervals to align with a shelf's holes so that product dividers can be installed anywhere along the length of the protector without the need to drill holes after installation. The holes may also be pressure-actuated. The protector's lower portion has rounded or chamfered corners for safety to prevent snagging on clothing or other elements that may brush up against the protector.
PRICE INFORMATION DETERMINATION APPARATUS, PRICE INFORMATION DETERMINATION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
A price information determination apparatus (10) includes an information acquisition unit (110), a price information determination unit (120), and an output unit (130). The information acquisition unit (110) acquires customer information of a customer when the customer selects a specific product (50) out of products (50) placed in a product shelving unit (40). The price information determination unit (120) generates price information of the selected product (50) by using the customer information acquired by the information acquisition unit (110). The output unit (130) outputs the customer information generated by the price information determination unit (120) to, for example, a display apparatus (30).
ELECTRONIC SHELF LABEL CONTROLLING METHOD
A method for controlling an electronic shelf label according to an embodiment of the present disclosure includes providing an input request window including a barcode recognition request phrase on a virtual cell selected by a user, receiving barcode information of a product obtained by a barcode reader as a product identification input, obtaining product information based on the received product identification input, and displaying the obtained product information on the selected virtual cell.
Dynamic Information Tag
A dynamic information tag is disclosed for performing a dynamic information tag operation. The dynamic information tag includes a tag housing, the tag housing being sized to fit within a recess of an information handling system configured for receipt of a static information tag; a control and connection portion; and, a display coupled to the control and connection portion, the display being controlled via the control and connection portion to present information handling system information.
BATTERY POWERED SYSTEM AND BATTERY POWERED METHOD
A battery powered system and a battery powered method are provided. The battery powered method includes: disposing a first power connector and a first magnet on a first connecting face of a first electronic device; and disposing a second power connector and a second magnet on a second connecting face of a first battery device, wherein the first power connector is connected to the second power connector in response to the first magnet and the second magnet being attached to each other, and the first battery device powers the first electronic device via the first power connector.
