REUSABLE E-INK PAPER
Electronic ink paper includes: an image display area comprising a support layer, a conductive layer on the support layer, an ink layer on the conductive layer and to display an image by electrophoresis of pigment particles dispersed in an electrophoretic liquid, and a transparent surface layer to cover the ink layer; and a border to surround the image display area and including at least one edge having a tapered shape that decreases in thickness toward the outside of the border.
COMBINATION GREETING CARD
A greeting card having a housing of metal or a metal alloy that defines an interior void and an electronic ink display screen, a Bluetooth adapter or dongle comprising Bluetooth low energy (BLE) technology within the interior void and operatively configured to communicate with the display screen, a non-transitory memory storage device, and another electronic component within the interior void. The Bluetooth adapter or dongle is configured to receive from an external electronic device a first communication of information describing an initial message to be displayed, and to receive, subsequent in time to receipt of the initial message, a second real time communication of information describing a second message. The non-transitory memory storage device has pre-loaded executable instructions to display the first communication on the display screen, to change or modify the initial message based on the second real-time communication, and to display the second message on the display screen.
DISPLAY DEVICE
Disclosed is a high quality display device which avoids complicated element structure, and does not unnecessarily reduce portability. The display device comprises: a pair of substrates which are disposed facing each other, and on each of which electrodes are formed; and a material layer which is sandwiched between the pair of substrates. The material layer contains: a coloring material which changes color upon the application of a voltage; and a light-emitting material which emits light upon photoexcitation.
IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM
An identification system for providing information regarding an associated object (5), the system comprising a carrier (3) which is provided to the object (5), and display circuitry (7) which is provided to the carrier and displays information regarding the object (5).
Display device with adjustable rigidity
In one embodiment, a device includes a first sheet configured to flex; a second sheet disposed below the first sheet; and an intermediate region disposed between the sheets. The intermediate region may include multiple supports, each of the supports connected to portions of the first and second sheets and configured to maintain a spacing between the sheets. The intermediate region may also include multiple channels configured to contain a fluid in the spacing between the sheets, each of the channels disposed between two or more supports. The fluid is configured to be in an active or an inactive state. When the fluid is in the inactive state, the device is substantially flexible, and when the fluid is in the active state, the device is substantially rigid.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR DISPLAYING INFORMATION, PROGRAM, AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus and method for displaying information, a program, and a communication system, which enable the provision of an apparatus making use of a display device excellent in flexibility.
An information display apparatus includes a display unit including a time information presenting section for presenting at least time information and a band section to be worn on an arm, and a display control unit for changing a display of the display unit. The present disclosure can be applied to, for example, the information display apparatus.
Optical shutter and display panel
A shutter system includes a substrate having a front surface with a length and a width, and a conductive layer on a portion of the front surface of the substrate; a dielectric layer disposed on the conductive layer; and an electrostatic shutter having a proximal end attached to the dielectric layer such that a portion of the shutter is in direct physical contact with the dielectric layer at a point at or adjacent the attached proximal end. The shutter is configured to transition between extended and retracted configurations. In the same or an alternative embodiment, the system includes a reinforcement configured such that when the shutter is in the extended configuration, an edge at a distal end of the shutter opposite the proximal end remains substantially parallel to the proximal end of the shutter as the shutter transitions from the extended configuration to the retracted configuration.
DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided is a display device. The display device includes: a display panel; a motor-driven module, which is configured to be connected to the display panel and drive the display panel to move; a control module, which is configured to control the motor-driven module; a first module and a second module disposed opposite to each other in a first direction, where the first module and the second module are able to move relatively in a second direction; a first unit, which is disposed on a side of the first module facing the second module; a second unit, which is disposed on a side of the second module facing the first module; and in response to a position relationship between the first unit and the second unit, providing, by the control module, a first control signal for the motor-driven module, where the first direction intersects the second direction.
DEVICE FOR A UTILITY VEHICLE STRUCTURE, AND UTILITY VEHICLE STRUCTURE CONSTRUCTED WITH THE SAME
The invention relates to a device for a utility vehicle structure, having at least one component (38, 39, 40, 43) of the utility vehicle structure with a pixel technology-based display field (5, 6) for displaying changing motifs, said display field having a plurality of separately actuatable display pixels. The display field is attached to the exterior of the component or is structurally integrated into the exterior of the component.
Electronic display with deformable surface
A three-dimensional (3D) display system may include a peg array of multiple pegs. Each peg may be individually addressable and designed to move along one or more axes. The 3D display system may also include an induction array having multiple electromagnetic coils to generate electromagnetic fields. The electromagnetic fields may induce magnetic forces upon at least one peg to cause the peg to move along an axis into an actuated position. The 3D display may also include a display screen to be distended into a 3D topography via contact with at least one peg in the actuated position.
