Display of supplemental content

The present disclosure describes a method for displaying supplemental content. The method includes determining environmental characteristics, e.g., wall space, empty areas, colors, etc., for a display environment, determining supplemental content based in part on a primary content displayed by a primary display, and displaying the supplemental content in the display environment.

DISPLAY OF SUPPLEMENTAL CONTENT

The method includes determining environmental characteristics, e.g., wall space, empty areas, colors, etc., for a display environment, determining supplemental content based in part on a primary content displayed by a primary display, and displaying the supplemental content in the display environment.

Single-track vehicle comprising a display device

A single-track vehicle is provided with a display device and a control device which is configured coupled to the display device such that at least one first display layout and one second display layout are presentable in the display device. The first and the second display layout have at least one main display field. Upon switching to the first display layout, the current speed and/or the current engine speed and/or the current gear stage and/or a current desired speed of the single-track vehicle are/is displayed in the region of the main display field, and, upon switching to the second display layout, a plurality of menu points of a selection menu and/or items of information about comfort functions of the single-track vehicle are depicted in the region of the main display field.

Split-screen driving of electronic device displays

Aspects of the subject technology relate to electronic device display circuitry and methods of operating the display. The display circuitry includes gate-in-panel (GIP) drivers for each pixel row of a pixel array, and mode selection circuitry coupled between two of the GIP drivers. The mode selection circuitry receives a select signal to switch the display between a full-screen mode of operation and a split-screen mode of operation. The mode selection circuitry allows the pixel rows to be operated in a butterfly driving mode that facilitates reduction of optical artifacts when displaying augmented-reality or virtual-reality content with a multi-function display such as a display of a smartphone or a tablet.

A display device provided with a plurality of display panels, wherein the display device is characterized in that: the display device is provided with a single control unit for controlling the drive of the plurality of display panels, and a rigid substrate extending along one direction, in which a wiring for conveying an output signal from the control unit is formed; the rigid substrate and the plurality of display panels constitute panel groups connected in series via a flexible substrate along a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the rigid substrate; and the flexible substrate that connects the rigid substrate and the display panel disposed next to the rigid substrate is provided with a source driver.

Display device

A display device displays a virtual image of a first picture and a virtual image of a second picture by using a display medium. This display device includes a light source that emits light, a fixed screen, a movable screen, a driver, and a scanner. The fixed screen is fixedly disposed on an optical path between the light source and the display medium. The movable screen is also disposed on this optical path. The driver moves the movable screen along the optical path. The scanner scans the fixed screen and the movable screen with the light emitted from the light source, thereby forming the first picture on the fixed screen and the second picture on the movable screen.

SHARED CONTENT DISPLAY WITH CONCURRENT VIEWS

In many computing scenarios, multiple users share a display to view and/or interact with content. Typically, one user provides input that interacts with the content; a second user can interact with the view only if the first user cedes control. Some interfaces permit split views, but typically support only a single input device that manipulates both panes. In the present disclosure, when a second user desires a different view of content during the first user's interaction, the device inserts a second view of the content into the display. Each view is associated with and manipulated by a particular user (e.g., via input devices associated with individual users) without altering the views of other users. The device may automatically manage the concurrent views, such as positioning and resizing; reflecting each user's perspective in other users' views; merging content changes; and terminating a view due to idleness or merging with another view.
