A method to improve display performance at edges of a circular display screen is provided. The method comprises determining an edge area and a central area of the circular display screen, the edge area surrounding the central area; along a direction from a geometric center of the circular display screen to the edge area of the circular display screen, dividing the edge area into n display regions each having a different luminance-level, where n is a positive integer larger than 1; and according to luminance of pixels in the central area and the luminance-level of each of the n display regions, adjusting the luminance of the pixels in each of the n display regions to corresponding target luminance. Along the direction from the geometric center to the edge area of the circular display screen, the corresponding target luminance of the pixels in the n display regions sequentially decreases.

A system comprising a display and an ambient light sensing module, the ambient light sensing module being located beneath the display. The display comprises an array of light emitting diodes and a first polarizer located above the display. The sensing module comprises a first sensor and a second sensor, a second polarizer being located above the second sensor.

The present application relates to a method for seamless splicing of a special-shaped display screen, including: dividing the special-shaped display screen into a number of regular quadrilateral modules and a number of special-shaped modules; calculating a number of LED light pieces on a first side of a regular quadrilateral module after division; determining the number of the LED light pieces arranged on the first side of the regular quadrilateral module; calculating a number of LED light pieces arranged on a second side of the regular quadrilateral module, and the second side is adjacent to the first side; and continuing for the number of special-shaped modules obtained above.
