VIDEO DISPLAY DEVICE AND PROJECTOR
A video display device includes performs a first Retinex process on an inputted video and a second Retinex process, which is different from the first Retinex process, on the inputted video. A video composing unit is configured to compose a video processed by the first Retinex processing unit and a video processed by the second Retinex processing unit in accordance with a feature of the inputted video, which is then displayed. In a process of composing the video processed by the first and second Retinex processing units, the video composing unit is configured to perform a process of converting a luminance level for each pixel so that more output luminance levels are assigned to a luminance band having a large frequency distribution to improve visibility of the video. A gain of the luminance level converting process is varied in accordance with an average pixel value level of the inputted video.
Dynamic shading system
A dynamic shading system is disclosed. The system comprises a screen and a control system. The screen comprises a plurality of light valves. Each light valve has an adjustable translucency so that the screen can present an image on one side of the screen. The control system is configured to determine what image is to be presented on the one side of the screen in dependence of light intensity incident on another side of the screen. the control system is further configured to control each light valve of the screen to have a translucency so that the plurality of the light valves forms the determined image on the one side of the screen.
Liquid crystal display and driving method to compensate a deformation area thereof
A liquid crystal display (LCD) and a driving method thereof are disclosed. The LCD includes: an LCD panel, a grayscale voltage output portion and a grayscale voltage adjusting portion. The LCD panel includes a deformation area formed by bonding of a driver integrated circuit, and the deformation area includes a first subpixel. The grayscale voltage output portion is configured to output a first grayscale voltage to the first subpixel. The grayscale voltage adjusting portion is configured to adjust the first grayscale voltage into a second grayscale voltage, so that a brightness of the first subpixel at the second grayscale voltage is less than a brightness of the first subpixel at the first grayscale voltage.
Display apparatus and method of controlling the same
A method of controlling a display apparatus includes: when the display apparatus is in a privacy display mode, obtaining, by an image processor, a plurality of frames of display images according to a frame of original image, transmitting, by the image processor, the plurality of frames of images to a display controller; controlling, by the display controller, the display panel to display the plurality of frames of display images in sequence within a display time of the frame of original image, and controlling, by the display controller, the grating panel to form light-transmitting regions and non-light-transmitting regions that are alternately arranged when the display panel displays each frame of display image, so as to limit an exit angle of light exiting from the display side of the display apparatus, the exit angle being within a range of a privacy viewing angle.
Methods and systems for energy or resource management of a human-machine interface
A computer implemented method for energy or resource management of a human-machine interface comprises the following steps carried out by computer hardware components of the human-machine interface: determining a level of attention of a user of the human-machine interface to the human-machine interface; and setting an energy and/or resource utilization related setting of the human-machine interface based on the determined level of attention.
Display with localized brightness adjustment capabilities
An electronic device may have a display with an array of pixels. The device may have an array of components such as an array of light sensors for capturing fingerprints of a user through an array of corresponding transparent windows in the display. A capacitive touch sensor, proximity sensor, force sensor, or other sensor may be used by control circuitry in the device to monitor for the presence of a user's finger over the array of light sensors. In response, the control circuitry can direct the display to illuminate a subset of the pixels, thereby illuminating the user's finger and causing reflected light from the finger to illuminate the array of light sensors for a fingerprint capture operation. The display may have display driver circuitry that facilitates the momentary illumination of the subset of pixels with uniform flash data while image data is displayed in other portions of the display.
Driving method and apparatus of a display panel
The present disclosure relates to the technical field of display panels, in particular to a driving method and driving apparatus of a display panel. The driving method may include in response to detecting that the display panel is switched from a dynamic picture to a static picture, generating a refresh rate adjustment instruction; according to the refresh rate adjustment instruction, switching the picture refresh rate of the display panel from a first picture refresh rate to a second picture refresh rate and generating a voltage adjustment instruction; obtaining a target cathode power supply voltage matching the second picture refresh rate; and based on the voltage adjustment instruction and the target cathode power supply voltage, adjusting the display panel to change a working current of each pixel in the display panel.
TELEVISION BACKLIGHT DIMMING METHOD, APPARATUS AND DEVICE, AND COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
The present application discloses a television backlight dimming method, apparatus and device, and a computer-readable storage medium. The television backlight dimming method includes: acquiring the minimum horizontal interval between an LED lamp in a reference region and an LED lamp in a non-reference region; and dimming the brightness of each LED lamp in the non-reference region on the basis of the brightness of the LED lamp in the reference region, the minimum horizontal interval and a preset interval rule.
Head Up Display Apparatus With a Bright Energy Efficient Backlight for a Vehicle
A head up display apparatus for a vehicle includes an imaging unit that generates a projection light beam with display content and includes a transmissive display indication layer with selectively controllable display elements distributed over an area, a matrix backlight that provides backlighting therefor and includes selectively controllable light sources distributed along the transmissive display indication layer, and a collimation array with collimators arranged between a light source and the transmissive display indication layer, and a projection panel in the beam path of the projection light beam generated by the imaging unit for reflecting the projection light beam to a user, the projection panel being arranged in the beam path such that a virtual display image is generated therebehind in the visual field of the user.
DISPLAY CONTROLLER, HEAD-MOUNTED DISPLAY, AND IMAGE DISPLAYING METHOD
In a display controller, a standard information acquisition unit 76-acquires at least one of a luminance characteristic and a color gamut of a standard display panel. A luminance information storage unit of an output adjustment unit stores a measurement value of a luminance characteristic of a panel of a displaying destination. A luminance range adjustment unit gradually adjusts a luminance range for an image to be a luminance range same as that of the standard display panel. A color gamut information storage unit stores a measurement value of a color gamut of the panel of the displaying destination. A color adjustment unit adjusts a pixel value of an image on the basis of the color gamut such that the image is displayed in a color same as that on the standard display panel.
