A fault-tolerant active matrix display device for avionics systems includes a panel glass, a set of source signal lines, and a set of gate signal lines. Each of the gate signal lines includes a first gate line end and a second gate line end on opposite sides of the panel glass. A source driver circuit is coupled to at least a portion of the source signal lines. A first gate driver circuit includes a first set of gate driver cells. Each of the gate driver cells of the first gate line driver circuit includes a gate line output connected to one of the set of gate signal lines at the first gate line end thereof. A second gate driver circuit includes a second set of gate driver cells.

Apparatus, systems, and methods for providing a rearward view of aircraft
Apparatus, systems, and methods for providing a rearward view of an aircraft. The system, apparatus, and methods include one or more cameras disposed on an aft portion of a fuselage of the aircraft, a heads-up display is within a cockpit of the aircraft, and a heads-up control. The heads-up control receives image data from the one or more cameras and generates an image on the heads-up display based on the image data from the one or more cameras to provide a rearward view of an area behind the aircraft. The heads-up control may be configured to determine when an aerial object is within a predetermined range behind the aircraft and responsively generate the image on the heads-up display based on the image data from the one or more cameras to provide a rearward view of an area behind the aircraft in which the aerial object is located.
Display apparatus
An electronic display apparatus comprising a support frame, wherein mounted within the support frame there is an electronic display configured to display content based on image data, and a display driver circuit to receive the image data and to supply an image signal to the electronic display to cause the electronic display to display the content, the image signal based on the image data. Also mounted in the support frame is a connector cable connecting the display driver circuit and the electronic display for transmission of the image signal from the display driver circuit to the electronic display. The support frame is mountable to one or more surfaces so as to mount the electronic display to a first portion of the one or more surfaces and mount the display driver circuit to a second portion of the one or more surfaces that is away from the first portion, and the support frame maintains the electronic display in a spaced relationship from the display driver circuit.

The invention relates to an electronic display device on board an aircraft capable of landing or maintaining a hover above a landing zone and comprising: a module for calculating a distance between the aircraft and the landing zone according to a horizontal direction and for determining a height of the aircraft; and a module for displaying an exocentric aircraft symbol, positioned at a distance said exocentric from the aircraft according to an exocentric direction and at a height difference said exocentric relative to the aircraft, the display module being further configured to display an exocentric landing zone symbol, positioned at a distance from the landing zone equal to the exocentric distance according to the exocentric direction and at the same height as the exocentric aircraft symbol.
