A system for displaying information indicative of driving conditions, to a driver, using a smart ring are disclosed. An exemplary system includes a smart ring with a ring band having a plurality of surfaces including an inner surface, an outer surface, a first side surface, and a second side surface. The system further includes a processor, configured to obtain data from a communication module within the ring band, or from one or more sensors disposed within the ring band. The obtained data are representative of information indicative of one or more driving conditions to be displayed to the driver. The smart ring also includes an electronic ink (e-ink) display disposed on at least one of the plurality of surfaces, and configured to present information indicative of the one or more driving conditions.

The disclosure provides a transparent display device including an exposed region and a non-exposed region. The non-exposed region is adapted for being hidden by a frame. The transparent display device includes a plurality of pixels and a driving element. The pixels are disposed in the exposed region. The driving element is adapted for driving the pixels, the driving element is disposed in the non-exposed region, and the non-exposed region partially surrounds the exposed region.

These systems, methods, and computer program products can utilize the viewer location metric and/or the media surface metric to provide a hint of the attribute to a user.

A display apparatus according to an embodiment of the present technology includes a display unit, a motion sensor, a region setting unit, and an information generating unit. The display unit includes a tubular display whose directional range in which an image is displayed is larger than 180 degrees. The motion sensor detects an observer who observes the display. The region setting unit sets a first region visible from the observer and a second region different from the first region as regions on the display on the basis of a detection result of the motion sensor.
