DISPLAY FOR PUMP
This document discusses, among other things, an apparatus comprising a pump configured to deliver insulin, a processor, and a user interface including a bistable display. A display element of the bistable display is placed in one of two stable orientations upon application of a biasing voltage and stays in the stable orientation when the biasing voltage is removed. The processor includes a display module configured to display a non-blank reversion display screen on the bistable display when no input is received at the user interface after a specified time duration, and to recurrently change the reversion display screen until input is received at the user interface.

NEAR-TO-EYE DISPLAY DEVICE WITH SPATIAL LIGHT MODULATOR AND PUPIL TRACKER
A near-to-eye display device includes a spatial light modulator, a rotatable reflective optical element and a pupil-tracking device. The pupil-tracking device tracks the eye pupil position of the user. Based on the data provided by the pupil-tracking device, the reflective optical element is rotated such that the light modulated by the spatial light modulator is directed towards the user's eye pupil.
Display for pump
An apparatus comprising a pump configured to deliver insulin, a processor, and a user interface including a color display. Color on the display can be used to bring a user's attention to a change in status of the device or a detected change in status of the patient.
Event-based trigger for managing battery consumption
Systems and methods are provided for optimizing battery life in an electronic device. The device is configured to make periodic assessments of battery capacity by measuring the DC resistance value of the battery cell during the execution of a power-consuming operation. If the measured DC resistance value reaches a threshold level, the device can initiate a power-saving mode in which an operating parameter of the device is adjusted to decrease power consumption.
APPARATUS FOR GENERATING A COHERENT BEAM ILLUMINATION
An apparatus generates a coherent illumination beam. An embedded light-scattering apparatus in a transparent substrate illuminates a reflective optical element which is also embedded inside the same substrate. The reflective optical element is designed to provide a desired beam profile.
DISPLAY DEVICE
Provided is a display device characterized in that the electric power consumption when optical modulation elements (for example, MEMS shutters) are driven is reduced: A display device (1000) includes a backlight unit (1), a display panel unit (2), a source driver (3), and a controller (4). The backlight unit (1) includes a light source. The display panel unit (2) includes segmented pixel regions AR11 to ARnm each of which includes: a plurality of pixels each of which includes an optical modulation element that performs modulation control with respect to light projected from the backlight unit (1); and a segmented gate driver that controls the optical modulation elements of the pixels. The source driver (3) is a driver that controls the optical modulation elements of the pixels. The controller (4) controls the light source of the backlight unit (1), the segmented gate drivers GD11 to GDnm, and the source driver (3).
VECTOR DITHERING FOR DISPLAYS EMPLOYING SUBFIELDS HAVING UNEVENLY SPACED GRAY SCALE VALUES
This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatus, and computer readable media for generating images on a display using a dithering process that takes into account an uneven spacing of available gray scale values in at least one color subfield used to generate the images. The dithering process includes generating a set of initial color subfields, a set of quantized color subfields, and a set of final color subfields, which are then output on the display. The quantized color subfields an the final color subfields are derived based at least in part on the uneven spacing of gray scale values in at least one of the final color subfields.

Tunnel thin film transistor with hetero-junction structure
This disclosure provides thin film transistors (TFTs) including p-n hetero-junction structures. A p-n hetero-junction structure may include a junction between a narrow bandgap material and a wide bandgap material. The narrow bandgap material, which may be an oxide, nitride, selenide, or sulfide, is the active channel material of the TFT and may provide relatively high carrier mobility. The hetero-junction structures facilitate band-to-band tunneling and suppression of TFT off-currents. In various implementations, the TFTs may be formed on flexible substrates and have low temperature processing capabilities.
