MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
A musical instrument includes: an acoustic portion that makes sound in response to vibration; an exciter that includes an exciter body and a vibrating portion vibrating with respect to the exciter body, and excites the acoustic portion; and a support portion that is attached to the acoustic portion and supports the exciter body such that the vibration is transmitted from the vibrating portion to the acoustic portion. The support portion supports the exciter body such that the exciter body is elastically displaced with respect to the acoustic portion. A resonance frequency of a vibration system including the exciter body and the support portion is lower than the lowest resonance frequency of the acoustic portion.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LEARNING TO PLAY A MUSICAL INSTRUMENT
A method and system for teaching oneself to learn to play a string instrument and master it by analyzing ones real-time hand/finger movement/technique/form, enabling oneself to progress and correct ones own mistakes simultaneously. In one aspect, a system for learning to play a string instrument is provided that includes a simulation instrument that includes a plurality of strings, wherein at least one of the strings includes at least one-touch sensing sensor thereon in communication with at least one processor to receive a signal from the at least one touch-sensing sensor and determine therefrom when and where on the at least one string a user applies pressure to the at least one string.
MUSICAL INSTRUMENT LOCKING NUT ASSEMBLY THAT ATTACHES TO A TRUSS ROD OR A TRUSS ROD EXTENSION
Disclosed is a locking nut assembly that includes a baseplate mounted on the head of a musical instrument, such as a guitar. The baseplate includes channels configured to receive strings of the musical instrument and at least one locking plate to secure the strings in the channels. A bracket couples a truss rod positioned in a neck of the musical instrument to the baseplate.

MODULAR AND CUSTOMIZABLE GUITAR CONSTRUCTION
A modular and customizable construction for a guitar is disclosed. The construction may include a substantially flat metal guitar base plate that couples to interchangeable guitar components, such as a guitar body, a fretboard, and guitar string tuners. Further provided is a moveable nut that is used to adjust guitar string scale length via nut blocks that are separately adjustable relative to one another. Even further provided is a computer program product that allows for development of custom fingerboards that cater to a specific player's requirements and are optimized for alternative tunings and temperaments.

MOLDED PLASTIC UKULELE
A plastic ukulele has a sound board, a fretboard, a head plate and a lower half of the body integrated into a complete ukulele body. Attached to the bottom surface of the sound board are two paralleled outline reinforcing ribs which are in parallel with the outline of soundboard on the inside. The sound board has a sound hole in the upper middle part. Around the sound hole are two sets of lengthwise and widthwise paralleled reinforcing ribs. The part of sound board which is surrounded by the lower widthwise reinforcing ribs and the lower bout of outline reinforcing ribs is resonance section with a thickness of 1.0-1.4 mm only. Attached to the bottom surface of resonance section is a grid bracing structure in a one-piece molding with the sound board.
