Musical instrument having a carbon fiber body joined with a wooden core
Described is a musical instrument having a carbon fiber body joined with a wooden core, including a method for forming such a musical instrument. Specifically, the musical instrument includes a body portion having carbon fiber wrapped around and adhered to a wooden core. The wooden core includes a bore therethrough to define a flow path through which air travels in the musical instrument through the body portion. Additionally, a plurality of tone holes are formed through the carbon fiber and wooden core and into the bore. Keywork can be applied to the tone holes to form a clarinet or other wood wind instrument as applicable to the particular design as implemented.
CHANTER OF A WIND INSTRUMENT
A chanter of a wind instrument is disclosed. The chanter comprises a bulb 106 and a chimney section 102. The bulb 106 or at least a portion thereof is located adjacent and around an external surface or wall 103b of the chimney section 102 of the chanter. At least a portion of the bulb 106 is spaced apart from the chimney section 102 thereby forming or defining a gap around at least a portion of the external surface or wall 103b of the chimney section 102 and at least a portion of an internal surface 104a of the bulb 106 or the upper section 104. Such arrangement allows for free vibrations of the chimney section 102 that is proximal to the chimney reed of the chanter thereby allowing the vibrancy of the sound to be increased.

Wind instrument
A wind instrument includes a tube body; a tone hole tube that has an inner open end formed extending from the outer periphery of the tube body and opening to the inside of the tube body, and an outer open end opening to the outside of the tube body; and a finger pressing plate that, in the radial direction of the tone hole tube, extends from the outer open end of the tone hole tube to the outside of the tone hole tube.
Barrel for a Woodwind Instrument
A barrel for a woodwind instrument comprising a threaded bore to promote airflow throughout a woodwind instrument, thus, reducing turbulence, limiting the reflection of sound waves, and producing a sound with reduced amplitudes of overtones. The reduction in turbulent flow, further limits backpressure within the instrument, enabling the user to reduce the effort required to perform actions such as tonguing on said instrument. The barrel for a woodwind instrument comprises a mouthpiece receiver and an upper joint receiver for attachment to a woodwind instrument.

AEROPHONE INSTRUMENT USING AIR-FILLED OBJECT
An apparatus for assembling an aerophone instrument including an air conduit with first and second ends and segments to provide an air passage; air inlets on the air conduit to create an air entry point for compressed air to be delivered into the air passage, air outlets on the air conduit to create an air exit point for the release of compressed air along the air pathways, each defined by the position of an air inlet and the position of an air outlets along the air conduit. An air-filled object is positioned to be operatively associated with the air conduit. Compressed air is deliverable to the air conduit through the air inlets, causing an area of a wall of the air-filled object to vibrate and causing compressed air to vibrate in the air passage compressed air exits the air conduit from the air outlets.
Wind instrument
A wind instrument includes: a tube body; and a plurality of tone hole tubes each having an outer open end formed at the outer periphery of the tube body and an inner open end formed through the outer opening end and opening to the inside of the tube body, wherein at least one of the tube body and the tone hole tube is curved such that the plurality of outer open ends of the plurality of tone hole tubes are disposed so as to be in positions corresponding to respective fingers of the performer, and the plurality of inner open ends are connected at positions that cause the tube body to produce a predetermined pitch.
