FLAME THROWER PIPE ORGAN
20220358901 · 2022-11-10 ·

A micro flame effects unit (MFEU) includes a solenoid valve, an ignition coil, and a pair of electrodes. The ignition coil is to receive a voltage to create a spark between end portions of the electrodes. The solenoid valve is to receive a voltage to release gas, the spark and the gas to create a flame effect. An example flame thrower pipe organ (FTPO) includes a set of cylindrical members with a micro flame effects unit (MFEU) located within each cylindrical member. The FTPO further includes a set of keys that provide a sound when a key of the set of keys is played. A control device causes an MFEU to release a flame effect concurrent with the sound of a corresponding key being played. The FTPO may be automated with a self-playing system.

A system and method for automatic drumming. A MIDI decoder (1) receives MIDI serial data in real-time, decodes said MIDI serial data to obtain playing instructions, and signals at least one actuator (2) to strike at least one drum according to said decoded playing instructions. User inputs for selecting the MIDI channel and assigning MIDI notes to drums may be provided. The intensity of percussion may be controlled by the MIDI velocity and may be overridden by the user at the MIDI decoder. The at least one actuator may employ a solenoid and comprises features to mitigate latency between the MIDI serial data received and the drum hit. The at least one actuator may comprise a clamping or securement means enabling fast and convenient repositioning thereof. The at least one actuator may comprise means for substitution of a percussion implement, such as a drumstick, brush, or mallet.

A music box includes a sounding mechanism and a pause mechanism. The pause mechanism has a guide sleeve, a stopper member, a pushbutton, a guide assembly and a restoring spring. The guide sleeve is formed with a plurality of initial locating sections, a plurality of stop locating sections and a communicating ring section. The stopper member can be moved and rotated as well as has a stop block. The pushbutton serves to push the stopper member to move in a forward direction. The guide assembly serves to drive the stopper member to rotate, while the restoring spring serves to push the stopper member to move in a backward direction. By means of the pushbutton, the guide assembly and the restoring spring, the stop block can in turn move between the initial locating sections, the stop locating sections and the communication section.
