Sound to haptic effect conversion system using mapping
A system generates a haptic signal. The system receives an audio signal, pre-processes the audio signal by modifying the audio signal to create a modified audio signal, and maps the modified audio signal to a haptic signal. The system then sends the haptic signal to an actuator to generate one or more haptic effects.
Rotating speaker array
A speaker system includes one or more rotating speakers (or speakers with rotating reflectors) that are synchronized in absolute angular position to another rotating speaker or synchronized to audio effects to generated by a signal processing system driving a stationary or rotary speaker. Knowledge of absolute angular position in a multi-rotor speaker array or signal processing system allows for control of rotary position to accomplish acoustic effects otherwise not possible, such as matched-velocity profiles with differential phase control and motion profiles that are not based on simple rotation.
KEYBOARD APPARATUS AND PROXIMITY SENSOR
A keyboard apparatus according to an embodiment includes a keyboard and a mutual capacitance proximity sensor. The keyboard includes a first key and a second key arranged in an array direction with respect to the first key. The proximity sensor includes a first electrode having a portion extending from at least a first area below the first key to a second area below the second key, a second electrode arranged in the first area, and a third electrode arranged in the second area. The proximity sensor is a mutual capacitance type sensor and is configured to use a change in capacitance between the first electrode and the second electrode and a change in capacitance between the first electrode and the third electrode.
Vibration system using sound
Provided is a vibration system using sound. More particularly, the present invention relates to a system which is capable of generating vibration using sound so that the beats of the sound may be felt, is convenient to carry or move due to a lightweight and compact size thereof, is capable of generating vibration matching a beat of sound to which a user is currently listening, is capable of generating vibrations matching various feelings according to beats of sound on the basis of user setting, thereby greatly enhancing effects that the user may feel, and is very inexpensive to manufacture.
SIGNAL GENERATION DEVICE, ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, ELECTRONIC KEYBOARD DEVICE, ELECTRONIC APPARATUS, AND SIGNAL GENERATION METHOD
According to an embodiment, a signal generation device includes a memory storing a program and a processor communicatively connected to the memory and executing the program to function as a signal generating unit and a sound generation control unit. The signal generating unit generates a sound signal in response to operation of a plurality of operators. The plurality of operators includes a first operator and a second operator. The sound generation control unit controls a sound generation form of a second sound signal generated in response to a second operation of the second operator following a first operation, based on a duration of the first operation of the first operator.
Sound leak cancellation for display as sound emitter
Aspects of the disclosure relate to using a display as a sound emitter and may relate to an electronic device including a display and for sound leak cancellation. A vibration sensor such as an accelerometer is physically coupled to the display and senses the display vibration to provide a signal representing actual acoustic output from the display. The electronic device includes a first actuator physically coupled to the display and configured to cause vibration of the display in response to a first audio signal. The electronic device further includes the vibration sensor configured to output a vibration sensor signal proportional to the vibration of the display. The electronic device further includes a second actuator physically coupled to a portion of the electronic device different from where the first actuator is physically coupled to the display and configured to cause vibration of the portion in response to a second audio signal.
