A key operation detector includes a conductive unit provided in a key of a keyboard device, a substrate provided to face the key in a pressing and releasing direction of the key, a signal output unit including a coil, provided on the substrate, and configured to output a signal corresponding to a position of the conductive unit relative to the signal output unit, and a detection unit configured to detect a position of the key in the pressing and releasing direction and a displacement of the key in a front-rear direction based on the signal output from the signal output unit.

ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT, ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT SOUND EMISSION INSTRUCTING METHOD AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
20230041040 · 2023-02-09 · ·

An electronic instrument includes a plurality of music-playing operators which designates pitch data in accordance with a music-playing operation and at least one processor which instructs a sound source which generates music sounds to emit sounds, in which the at least one processor, in a case where the music-playing operation meets a first instruction condition, instructs the sound source to emit the sound in a first sound emission form which corresponds to pitch data which meets the first instruction condition which is designated in accordance with the music-playing operation, and in a case where the music-playing operation meets a second instruction condition which is different from the first instruction condition, instructs the sound source to emit a sound which is different from the sound which is emitted in the first sound-emission form, that is, in a second sound-emission form which corresponds to pitch data which meets the second instruction condition which is designated in accordance with the music-playing operation.

DISPLACEMENT SENSOR AND ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENT

A displacement sensor includes: a detectable portion: including a first coil; and being disposed on a movable member that is displaceable in response to an operation; and a signal generator: including a second coil that opposes the first coil; and being configured to generate a detection signal based on a relative position between the first coil and the second coil. A first distance from a first end of the first coil to a second end of the first coil in a first direction differs from a second distance from a third end of the first coil to a fourth end of the first coil in a second direction perpendicular to the first direction when the first coil is viewed in plan view.

Attaching Hand-Actuated Music Controllers to a Saxophone
20230012611 · 2023-01-19 ·

The presence of saxophonists furthering their musical horizons by playing keyboard instruments inspires the invention of a novel device to connect a light-weight keyboard or MIDI grid controller to a saxophone to facilitate the convenient and rapid switching between playing either instrument. Battery power and Bluetooth technology combine with innovations in plastics technology to facilitate the creation of strong, lightweight structures to facilitate such a device. With the addition of looping software on a laptop computer, a saxophonist so equipped can create music to accompany themselves, obviating the need for other musicians to function as a musical ensemble. This innovation may be the harbinger for other musicians on other single note instruments—trumpet, trombone, violin, etc. to join this trend using either instrument-attached, strap-on or wearable keyboards. This could blend the boundaries between acoustic and electronic instruments, and increase the enjoyment and musical enrichment of musicians and audiences alike.

Keyboard musical instrument

A keyboard musical instrument includes a musical instrument case including an upper case, and a lower case having a concave part provided on a lower surface and opened on an outer peripheral surface-side, and a strap pin fixing portion is arranged in the concave part.

ELECTRONIC MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS, METHOD AND STORAGE MEDIA THEREFOR

An electronic musical instrument includes: a performance controller; and at least one processor, configured to perform the following: instructing sound generation of a first musical tone in response to a first operation on the performance controller; in response to a second operation on the performance controller during the sound generation of the first musical tone, obtaining a first amplitude value of the first musical tone at a time of the second operation, and obtaining a second amplitude value at which a second musical tone is to be sound-produced in response to the second operation on the performance controller; acquiring a parameter value for determining at least one of pitch, timbre, and volume of the second musical tone based on a ratio of the first amplitude value to the second amplitude value; and instructing sound generation of the second musical tone in accordance with the acquired parameter value.

System and method for generating musical score

A method for generating a musical score based on user performance during playing a keyboard instrument may include detecting a status change of a plurality of execution devices of the keyboard instrument. The method may include generating a first signal according to the detected status change. The method may include generating a second signal indicating a plurality of timestamps. The method may include determining a tune of the musical score based on the first signal. The method may include determining a rhythm of the musical score based on the second signal. The method may further include generating the musical score based on the tune and the rhythm of the musical score.

Switch device, electronic apparatus, and electronic musical instrument

A switch device (4, 5) includes: a cap (7) including, on a top surface (711), a first region (71a) and a second region (71b) corresponding to a position where an internal light (133) is disposed and being thinner than the first region (71a); and a switch (61, 62) to which the cap (7) is mounted.

FLAME THROWER PIPE ORGAN

A micro flame effects unit (MFEU) includes a solenoid valve, an ignition coil, and a pair of electrodes. The ignition coil is to receive a voltage to create a spark between end portions of the electrodes. The solenoid valve is to receive a voltage to release gas, the spark and the gas to create a flame effect. An example flame thrower pipe organ (FTPO) includes a set of cylindrical members with a micro flame effects unit (MFEU) located within each cylindrical member. The FTPO further includes a set of keys that provide a sound when a key of the set of keys is played. A control device causes an MFEU to release a flame effect concurrent with the sound of a corresponding key being played. The FTPO may be automated with a self-playing system.

SENSOR MODULE, SYSTEM OF MODULES FOR A PIANO KEYBOARD, AND CORRESPONDING METHOD

Different aspects of the invention implement a sensor module that can be configured as a keyboard module or as a pedal module, allowing to connect a plurality of keyboard and pedal modules to assemble a configuration to the user’s liking, such as, for example, the usual configuration of an 87-key piano together with two pedals. The sensor module transmits information about detected key or pedal strokes to a computer application for playback, either aural or visual. At the same time, the sensor module allows, both in the keyboard module and pedal module configuration, to transmit the feeling of playing a real piano.
